Air Conditioning in the rooms at POP

Good afternoon everyone,
I just read that the rooms at the all-star resorts and at the pop century resorts do not have very good air conditioning in the rooms and that after coming in after a day at the parks the rooms are very warm and also they get very warm in the middle of the night???? Does anyone know about this and could give me some information about this....because we are going the last week in August and I still have not decided where to stay, however, if this is the case I will not stay at these resorts because the rooms will have to be cool, especially that time of year???? Thanks guys.

I stayed at Pop last June,it was very hot and the air conditioning was perfect.I had also heard the stories and was concerned but it was no problem and we are the kind of people who like it very cold,so don't worry.

it depends who you ask, I thought they didn't work well enough at night, I was sweating, my wife thought it was cold.

I stayed at the ASMo the past 2yrs & the rooms were A/C. I did hear when Pop first opened they were having problems but haven't heard anything since.

I don't think the problem is isolated to POP. The problem is widespread at WDW ever since they installed those stupid sensor ACs. They kick on with movement, so when you leave the room and turn the lights out to go to sleep, the AC turns off. I had this problem at CR and GF. I've heard about problems at AKL, but I didn't have that problem there.

I think it's a stupid way to try and save money by WDW. Who wants to get up in the middle of the night and flap their arms around?? People have come up with contraptions using balloons. It's getting insane. But, if you want to stay cool, you do whatever you have to do.

I remember reading last year someone posted a way to override the sensors. Something about holding down a button or something. I guess I'll have to do a search because I'm staying at Pop in June and I'm also worried about it not being cool enough.
