This comes up every once and awhile. There is a company that sells an AC boot for your tent but you have to cut a hole in it to make it work.
You could come up with something that blows the air into the tent through a screen window, but it would depend on how your windows are situated. You kind of still have to "seal around" the window. Its best if it can take the warm humid air inside, chill it and remove the humidity. Other wise you can have cool humid air.
As for the in room AC units you still have to vent it to the outside with a flexible duct and if you don't have a big tent, it can get in the way.
I have seen self contained ones that use two flexible ducts and the units stays outside but those are a little expensive.
