Air Boat Rides

My boys really want to go on an air boat ride...any recommendations? Is there one that is closer to the Orlando area than others?

I've done Boggy Creek and Spirit of the Swamp and both were great. SotS was closer to Disney property.

Highly recommend. It was about 40 minutes or so from Orlando.

LOVE your posts!!!! I noticed you did gator land too - IF you had to pick between the air boat ride and Gator Land - which would you choose?

Also - how much time did you spend at Gator Land - I have 2 boys - 9 and 11.

Love that they look pretty close - I am going to compare prices but did you prefer one over the other for any reason? I am thinking 1 hour is enough??

Go to Midway Airboats At Christmas on Hwy 50 on way to Titisville

Then go to the replica of Fort Christmas

This is about a 60 min drive from Disney

This is an Air boat ride that is not well known to many " Tourists "

Hold an Alligator etc And An Airboat ride & a Fort All in one day

Ohhh, that's a tough question. Both awesome experiences, but totally different. They were a fantastic pairing for a full "Gator Day", as neither is an all-day activity.

For 9 and 11 year olds, I'd probably pick Gatorland (assuming I have to pick) just because its less far to travel, less expensive admission, and the activity itself lasts longer (Gatorland is worth about 4 hours IMHO....maybe more if your boys enjoy some extended time in the splash area). If your kiddos are adventurous, they will adore the opportunity to sit on the back of the great big gator. And the shows are excellent, especially the Gator Wrestling.
