We the explosion of cell phone camera and social media, it seems like more and more places are being overrun with people wanting the perfect 'gram worthy photo to show off their "lifestyle." I wonder how artificial intelligence will impact that. If you can appear to be anywhere doing anything, so it reduce traveling for the purposes of conspicuous consumption?

We recently started our summer travels and one of my projects is to post a fake picture of roughly what we are doing, but in a ridiculously exaggerated fake photo. These are not retouched or altered photos. They are completely fabrication using ChatGPT. I upload recent photos of our faces then tell it what scene to put us in.

To my surprise, some people thought that the first few were real. People still have a bad habit of believing pictures even though they are unbelievable. I think after a week of crazy stuff, everyone has caught on. Some people live it and others hate it.

This method of photography could totally be revamp my summer vacation photos!
Instead of my grandkids having memories of wrinkled old grammy at the beach, maybe they can look back at photos and remember me as the little mermaid!

I don't even know what to say. Cute idea. Possibilities are endless. Yes, I do think AI is being kinda intrusive to the art of photography but I can see it's uses (especially if they could create the world's best sharpening tool). Have you tried to get it to de-age you back 20 years or so? That would really give the fam something to look at. Or, even better, do a Frank Frazetta style shot with Conan and Red Sonja! </weirdness off>

Me. I'm holding off on joining that bandwagon. Then again, I still shoot Ilford HP5 in a surviving Yashica Electro 35 so I'm coming from a different place.
