Ahoy! Sailing the Wonder 2/8/09

Man, I don't miss ice storms. Good luck to everyone with their power/damage due to the ice. Just remember......just over a week now!

ok, never cruised before and just looked over the navigator from the 18th's voyage. Its the first time I saw them pretty detailed. My question was I htought there was no dress up nights on a 4 night cruise. But on night 2 it was dress up. What is considered dress up. I was just planning on dockers and polos and what not. Do I need to bring a shirt and tie and a coat. I don't want to be the only one over dressed or under dressed.

Thanks

Polos and Dockers will be fine. Dress up is not the same as formal. :)

thanks Jill, the dress up and cruise casual was throwing me and just wanted to double check. Because to me dress up would be a shirt and tie, formal would be a tux or so. But different terms for different areas I guess. I didn't want to be the one everyone was staring at:cool1: .... well at least for those reasons:rotfl2:

wow, the weather sure is acting ugly!:sad2:
hope you all get your power back soon and can dig out from under!
I am not complaining anymore about snow-ice storms are THE worst!

today is DS's birthday. he is now 16 and they handed him his :drive: permit!:faint:

On last years cruise, pirate night:

We went shopping this evening after a day of meetings and at the Disney outlet, they had Jack Sparrow Costumes for $9.99!!! They are not the best that I've ever seen, but they are pretty nice. There were LOTS of Princess dresses in all sizes for 12 - 20. They had t-shirts for $5.00 too! Needless to say I spent just a little bit. If you have a Disney Store OUtlet anywhere close, it is worth the time it will take to stop by.:cool1:

Well thank you to everyone who replied to my concern on the trip reports. I was very excited to get some from those that have just returned (mainly january cruises). I was disappointed that I found very little or negative. Maybe I just have to give people time to add thoughts. But for those of you who said you have heard or found very good reports, I am very happy to hear that. I just look forward to having my own GREAT report loaded on the DIS when I get back!:thumbsup2

Jill once again you have come through!! Even though I didn't get in soon enough on the FE, I may just have to leave you a little something from me. ;) I checked out those navigators you sent the link to. The print was a little small so I tried to print them out but I couldn't just do the page with the nav's. So I emailed her and she sent them to me along with a few other things. If anyone wants a copy just PM me with your email and I will send (It sounds cool to say that-never could before!):rotfl: They are really clean copies.

She also sent me a link for the DCL Castaway Cay Survival Kit for downloading the music & screensavers I have heard people talking about. When I go there, I get a virus warning, so I have to do a little research before I continue. I'll let you know, unless someone has downloaded these files and not had a problem. Maybe I missed that conversation.

Have been enjoying all the pics too!! Keep them coming, they are very inspiring. My kids love to look at them.

the Navigators are fun aren't they Kelly? did you read the tip about highlighting in different colors for different family members for what they would like to do that day? we did that last time and found it very handy! :thumbsup2 we brought a copy home for every day of the cruise as a keepsake. family and friends were surprised at the amount of things to do!::yes:: plus it is so fun to look at them again!

Ohhh I'm jealous. Our closest outlet is 4 hours away. I know my daughter would really love a new princess dress.

Glad I could help. ;) I was happy that someone finally posted recent ones. Like someone else said, take a highlighter and go through it the night before and decided what you want to do in order to plan your next day. There is so much to do that you should never be bored!

So, nails are done. :) Nice tropical pink for the toes. I have an appointment tomorrow to get the hair highlighted and cut. Need to get my eyebrows waxed sometime this week.

ok Ijust got off the phone with the radisson, and reserved my shuttle. Available was 10:30 to 1:30 I believe. So I booked us on the 10:30. So I am assuming that will get us there a few minutes before 11. Which is kinda late from what I read to get an early booking number.

We will have our own car and leaving it at hotel, do you think I should drop family off withmy own car at 10 and then bring car back and take shuttle over. Can my wife check us all in if I am the main person on reservation.

Or should we just take a cab there? Cab fare can't be too much and to get there early enough is worth the few bucks IMHO.

Thanks

Got my hair done!!!!! I mean REALLY done - 3 colors and cut. The students at the beauty school were so excited to use red and cut my long hair. They did a great job and I saved about $100. Maybe I will go get my pedi tonight!!!! I am out the door to do more shopping but I hope to post beofre and afters later. EVERYONE that has ever met me stopped me today to comment about my hair. Adults and Kids!! I'm thinking my bad hair must have really left an impression.... :rotfl:

Nice pampering day everyone! Toes and nails are sunday, we are going to be at 35 degrees, woo hoo!!!

Kelly, I download the DCL music several years ago and had no problems.

Recent trip reports say the water a CC is chilly. Orlando is only going to be in the 60s prior to sailing.
