Ahoy Me hearties(WITH LINKS ON PG 1). Last day posted 10/17. DEC PTR STARTED W/LINK

Hi Dana- just wanted to bump your TR back up to the top!!:goodvibes

WOW!!!! She looks AMAZING!!!!!! We have a girl here who is our floater at the bank, and she's getting married next year, so we've all been in full bridal mode and such. LOL it is tiring, but it's fun. I'm glad you guys had a good day, and you found a dress!!! She's gonna be soooooo georgous!!!

Thank you Christie :). It is tiring :upsidedow. I don't remember being as tired when I was the one trying on wedding dresses .

I love love love the dress Amanda chose. It's so pretty and she looks so happy in it. We haven't gone dress shopping yet. Lacey wants to wait and see what they come out with this Spring.

Thank you Lisa :). I know you and Lacey will have as much fun as Amanda and I. I saw that there is a new line of Disney princess dresses out. I didn't EVEN have the nerve to look at the prices :rolleyes1:eek:.

She chose a very beautiful dress and will be gorgeous on her day! :bride:
I cannot believe the other girl had to order a 6 wk dress and is getting married in 8:scared:

:sad2: we are going to the coast the following weekend (9th & 10th) :sad2:
next time! we will MEET up soon!!!

but, you guys be sure to have a wonderful anniversary weekend!!!
:wave2: Connie

Thank you Connie :). I can't believe the other girl couldn't find a dress that they had in stock. When Dale and I got married I got a designer gown, on clearance, and bought it that day. They had some really pretty gowns in her size in stock.

I hate that we are going to miss ya'll again. My sister has points at the Hard Rock for a room for 4 nights so she is going to see if she can get it for us the weekend of the 15th. We were going to try and do it this past weekend, for our anniversary, but they were sold out.

I love Amanda's dress! The girl I made the cake for a couple of weeks ago wore a dress very similar to that one and she looked stunning as will Amanda. The pick ups are gorgeous. Happy Anniversary this weekend!!!

Thank you Leanne :). Did you take pictures of the wedding cake??? I would love to see them. Do you make your cakes from scratch? I have a co-worker who makes cakes and she said she uses box mixes and does a few modifications(I don't think she wanted to give me her recipe :rolleyes1). Amanda just wants a plain white three tier cake with black ribbons tied to each tier and red rose petals.

Thanks for the Anniversary wishes :goodvibes. I have got to post about my "exciting" weekend........:lmao:.

What a beautiful bride she will be. Love the dress!!

Thank you Mary :). I really liked it best too :thumbsup2.

Beautiful! :goodvibes

Thank you Michelle :).

Love the dress!!! We went to David's bridal and my consultant kept disapperaing, turns out she had me and another bride on one side of the store and another bride on the opposite side of the store, how random is that , and what a headache it was for all involved. We had so much fun dress shopping though, as i sure ya'll did as well... can't wait to read more about the wedding details and your trip!!

Thank you Leanne :). When Amanda called and made her appointment they told her the consultant would be helping someone else too. I didn't mind her helping someone else, but all the other ladies just walking around doing nothing was annoying. My niece's husband works at David's Bridal, but he had just gotten off when Amanda had her appointment. I know I need to finish my TR :rolleyes1.

I LOVE the dress!!! You can tell that Amanda loves it, too- it looks like she lit up when she put that dress on.

Thank you April :). She liked the one in the second picture too, but she though it might be too 'trendy'...........

Dana we are back from the CSR and Marco Island and I just wanted to skim your thread. I've not had a chance to read all of it, but I do want to send my heartiest congratulations to your family and Amanda and Matt on the wedding date being set. I love the wedding dress -- very elegant.

Welcome home Kathy . I know ya'll had a wonderful time, especially having a winning lottery ticket. Thank you Kathy :). I am happy with Amanda and Matt waiting until next November. It is still one month before he graduates college, but I'm hopeful the economy will be better and he will have a full time job. I really like the dress too. It has a corset back and I think they are sooooooooo pretty. I offered to let her wear my dress, but she said it was too 80's :rolleyes1.

Hi, Dana. We've missed you around here. I've started a TR if you want to join.

Dana! Hi! I've been so behind on things around the DIS, so sorry I've been gone for so long! I was reading your TR last week to get all caught up and keeping track of things I wanted to comment on. It was time to pick the kids up from school before I finished and I haven't had a chance to get back on here until now. And of course, my little piece of paper is at home and I am at work! :headache: So here's what I can remember on this Monday morning:

Congrats on your new van! That is awesome...I though to myself while reading the story that you'd end up purchasing it! Too funny that you weren't going to spend much money that weekend! I bet it nice to take it to Disney
so soon! :thumbsup2

Your DD looks beautiful in her dress of choice! I love love love that style! I bet that was a fun day...:goodvibes

Love your Disney updates, too! :)

Hi Dana!

We're back and I'm all caught up now....congrats to Matt and Amanda....her dress is gorgeous!! I LOVE it!!!

It was definitely hot while we were in Orlando and we loved every second of it!! Came back with quite the tan....:rolleyes1

Hi, Dana. We've missed you around here. I've started a TR if you want to join.

Hey Kathy . Sorry I have been MIA; Amanda and I have been doing a lot of wedding planning so I have been so busy.

Hey B . I know what you mean about not having much Dis time :guilty:. I used to be able to be here all the time, but now it just seems like I have a couple of hours a week.

Thanks on the van :goodvibes. We love it and it was so nice to drive down to Disney.

And thanks about Amanda too :goodvibes. We had a good time at the fitting, we just didn't realize it would take soooooooo long .

I have got to finish up my TR. I really need to start my December PTR.

Hey Queen .

I know you had a blast. Thanks on Amanda and Matt. I think this dress is the prettiest she tried.

I hope you got some pictures of ya'll with a tan :thumbsup2.

Finally an update on my May trip, and I think I am going to do the Cliff Note version so I can finish this TR and start my PTR for December.

When I last left you we had went swimming and gone to Gamestop to get Dallas his game; the we headed over to DHS.

We did the BLT

DSCF6220.jpg

Then Dallas and Dale rode the GMR while I watched the parade.

I'm just going to post one video of the parade. How these people don't have a heat stroke I will never understand

It was so HOT. Dale decided he wanted to go back to the room so Dallas and I stayed in the park and rode TSM.

.

After our ride we went back to the room so we could get ready to go to Le Cellier for dinner; I had been looking forward to eating here again. I do have to say though that the food was a disappointment on this trip. I know we won't be eating there for a while. I can't believe they have made it a two credit dinner . Dale got the Chef's Favorite meal in which you get to choose and appy, entrée and dessert. He really likes the spicy chicken and chipotle sausage so that was his appy---
lecellier8.jpg

He got the all natural chicken breast(he did not like it) for his entrée--

lecellier4.jpg

and for dessert he got the mousse(I didn't get a picture of it).

I had the filet mignon
lecellier6.jpg

and the creme brulee for dessert.

lecellier1.jpg

I love creme brulee, but the maple flavor of this one was overwhelming so I wasn't crazy about it and only ate part of it.

I think everyone who follows my TRs and PTRs knows what Dallas got----------

YEP-----pizza and french fries

lecellier5.jpg

And a milkshake

Sorry the pictures are bad; I was using my phone.

After dinner Dallas and Dale wanted to go back to the room, but I wanted to go over the DHS and see Fantasmic. I caught a bus and by the time I got to the park Fantasmic was closed because it was full and the next show wasn't for another 2 hours. I walked around the park and did some shopping. I bought my purse

and a few other gifts for my sisters and then headed out of the park. The bus going to CBR was a Disney Cruise Line bus so I was a little confused..........:lmao:. I must say it was much more comfortable than the regular Disney buses. It had been a long day so I showered and sit down at my computer to catch up with everything.

Nice update, Dana. I'm sorry LeCellier was a disappointment to you. We've eaten there four years in a row (this is the first trip we haven't) and we've always had a good meal. :confused3

I love the purse.

John bought me that same purse. I absolutely love it and not just because it's Disney. I like the outside pockets too.

Thursday, May 27th was an early day for us because we wanted to be at MK for morning EMH. We made it just in time and we were going to head over to BTM--------------NOT. It wasn't on the list for this day . The only ride we we able to ride was ISW.

Here are just a few pix

.

After we got off ISW we headed to BTM for a FP and then went to ride POC. I didn't get any pix on here, but I think we all know what it is about........:lmao:.

We cruised through the Jungle

Then we headed for a ride on a runaway mine train. I LOVE BTM. Dallas and I have become very big fans :thumbsup2. When our train pulled into the station we got more FPs and then rode HM.

hauntedmansion1.jpg

At least Dale didn't leave my camera bag this time :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:. We walked over to Cosmic Rays and had lunch. I had the bbq sandwich, Dale had a hamburger and Dallas had a hot dog. I think we all got the chocolate cake and took it back to the room. After lunch it was time for BTM again and more FPs. We walked back over to Tomorrowland so we could do the Laugh Floor. Dale and Dallas were tired and wanted to go back to the room, but not me. I stayed in the park and used their FPs for BTM too.....:rotfl:. I rode, got off, got back on, got off and got back on.........WOOOOOO HOOOOOO it was sooooooooo much fun. I had my fill of BTM and it was hot so I caught a bus back to CBR for a nap. I do know one thing------the bus stop for CBR is WAY TO FAR AWAY FROM THE ENTRANCE.

We decided to stay in the room for the rest of the day and not go back to the parks. We at at the food court (no pix) I had the chicken fettuccine-yum, yum, yum, Dale had chicken strips and Dallas had ????????????? yep again-------- PIZZA:rolleyes1:rolleyes:. Dale said the chicken strips were good. We had cake for dessert and Dallas had the worms in dirt pudding.

It was time to do laundry again as I didn't want our clothes to sour from all the sweat...... I got a call from Lisa(Mickeystoontown), so Dallas and I walked over to the food court to meet her and her wonderful family. It was as if I had known them forever and we talked for a long time. Dale called about 3 times to see if I was coming back to the room..........:lmao:. He is so antisocial.......:rolleyes1:confused3:lmao:.

Dallas and I walked back to the room and got our showers. I don't remember what time we went to bed, but I'm sure I didn't need to be rocked......:rotfl2:.

I totally agree that when we met it was as if we had known each other forever. I love the Disboards for giving me such good friends.:grouphug:

Two updates in one day!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I love BTM too...and I am so glad that I got to ride it despite the fact that Mark couldn't.

And I'm so glad you got to spend time with Lisa and her family! The DIS is great in bringing so many of us together.

For breast cancer awareness I had a pink hair extension put in. The hospital worked out a deal with a hair salon to help raise money.

I think it is a fun way to raise money and awareness!!!

I love the purse.

Thanks Kathy. I was disappointed that Le Cellier wasn't that good this time either. It really was a hit or miss with the food on this trip :confused3.

Thanks on the purse. I so love it. I get comments on it all the time.

John bought me that same purse. I absolutely love it and not just because it's Disney. I like the outside pockets too.

I love the outside pockets too. My cell phone fits perfect :thumbsup2.

Amen Sister:thumbsup2. I have some of the best friends I've ever had because someone, somewhere, decided to start the Disboards :lovestruc

Kathy, I know right ;) ? I can't believe I even got one update done....:rotfl:

I felt funny riding BTM so many times in a row. I felt sure a CM would stop me and say I couldn't use that many FPs in a row. The funny thing is; it was a different CM every time I came up to the FP line. They must change out every 30 minutes or so.

It was so much fun spending time with Lisa and her family. I wish she lived closer so we could spend more time doing stuff; like planning weddings........lol. I hope one day you and I are at Disney at the same time and get to meet up. I know you enjoyed spending time with Mary and her girls. She is so funny.

Dana, as a breast cancer survivor, I thank you!!!!

Another fund raiser going is with my OB/GYN. If we can raise $500 before the end of the month he will wear pink scurbs..........:lmao:.

Wouldn't he be "Pretty in Pink"? :lmao:
Drjacobs.jpg

What a unique way to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness!

I thought it was a cool idea too :thumbsup2. Now I sure hope they show back up to take them out.........:lmao:

Yay for an update!! Love the purse. Cayley would be right with ya on riding Big Thunder!
Love the extension. I am getting some pink hair tinsel for my walk next month.
