We are Disney fanatics and love our trips to the World. This trip was Dale and my 16th trip and Dallas' 13th. We were staying at the CBR for the first time and we were looking forward to it very much. We had had this trip planned for MONTHS. Our trip was May 21-May 30th and we were meeting up with several of my Dis friends.
I have been promising for a week now that I would start this trip report and I have been so bad
. I think I have really had a very severe case of Disney withdrawal this time.So here goes. Friday, May 21st had finally arrived and I could hardly believe we were going to be heading to Disney. I was super excited, but a little depressed too that Amanda and Tyler wouldn't be going with us. Of my 16 trips (the first one was with the ex so it really shouldn't count
) the kids, have been on most of them. Dale and I went alone on our 2 trips in 2005, but they were both short weekend trips, Amanda didn't go with us in Feb. 2007, July 2009(weekend trip), September 2009 nor this trip. Tyler missed the same trips except the Feb 2007. I got out of bed and finished packing up our snacks and stuff, iced down the drinks and made sandwich's. Dale called about 11am and said he didn't know when he would be home. Boy did I get nervous
. Well, he got home about 11:40 and he hit the shower. We pulled out of driveway at 12:10pm and headed toward Orlando. About half way there we broke out the sandwich's and chips and had a meal on the road. We hit the turnpike at 8:21pm and SR 429 at 9pm so we got to see wishes and Illuminations while driving.....
. We had to stop and get gas so we stopped at the Hess across from DHS, gassed up and we went to our Comfort Suites. We were in our room, car unpacked and Flippers pizza ordered by 10:30.Below are the links to my posts.
