Ahoy Me hearties(WITH LINKS ON PG 1). Last day posted 10/17. DEC PTR STARTED W/LINK

Page 3!?!?!? I am pathetic. I should've been there earlier. Please forgive me. I am going to go back & read.

 April is here :yay:. I'll forgive you if you forgive me. I have been a bad Disser here of late :guilty:.

I'm glad you are here .

The pictures of the oil on the beach are so sad. :sad1:

It is heart breaking April. I was scared we might see some animals with oil, but thank goodness we didn't; Dallas has such a big heart and it would have been too much for him to have to see. I can hardly stand to see it on the news. I have signed on to help with 3 different organizations but BP keeps putting up roadblocks for any volunteers.

Hi, saw your Trip Report link on Lisa's (Mickeystoontown) TR. Just wanted to say Hi, and I can't wait to read about your tip.
The oil spill is awful and I fear it will destroy our beautiful Gulf Coast...it's heart breaking. :sad1:

 Hey Christine and thanks for coming over :welcome:.

We can only pray that a solution to the oil spill is found soon; if not, this whole area of the country will be destroyed :sad2::sad1:.

I have no words....it's one thing to watch it on TV and see the coverage, but to know you were actually there and witnessed it makes me sad...makes me think of all the people this affects....the birds, the fish, everything:sad1:

It is really sad to see some of the most beautiful beaches in the world being turned into a toxic waste dump :sad2::sad1:.

Such a sad things. Where I grew up we had tar all the time but that is different. if you still have the shell try some baby oil on it to get the tar off-thats what we used to use on our feet. I am glad you got your mexican food!

It is so sad Mary. The more I hear the politicians talk the sicker I get .

Hey Dana! I am right there with you. It is so sad down here right now. Sam is begging to go to the beach right now. The best I can do for him is Galveston since I know it is safe from oil righ tnow. I was in Gulf Shores around this time last summer. Beach Blvd was definitely bumper to bumper on that Saturday. So sad to see how empty it is right now. My SIL and BIL are heading down your way this weekend. They got married there last summer and are determined to celebrate their first anniversary on the same beach. Grand Isle is the same ghost town right now. Almost all of the slips are empty right now. Not good for the residents of the island at all. It makes me sad how little work actually gets done on the beaches sometimes. When the president visited Grand Isle last month, my sister was on duty down there as an EMT for the offshore workers. She watched the workers come in to clean on the beach about 30 minutes before he got there and watched them roll out about 30 minutes after he left. It was all for show.

You got some beautiful pictures though. We haven't gotten the oil smell too far inland here. My parents live in an area in South Louisiana that is mostly camps, and there is no smell down there yet.

When I last left everyone we had ordered our Flipper's Pizza and were waiting for it to be delivered. I did not unpack our suitcases because I knew we were only going to be here for two nights.
This was our view from our 7th floor room

I don't like sleeping under the coverlets. They don't change them out after every customer so I think they are yuckie .

The rooms at the Comfort Suites are really nice. They have a sofa that pulls out into a bed, a microwave and a fridge.

After we ate pizza we put the left overs in the fridge and we all got our baths and ready for bed. Dale likes to sleep right next to the A/C and no cover, so I sleep with Dallas.........:rotfl:. I don't know why we didn't pull the sofa out and one of us sleep on it :confused3. We got up early and headed down to the breakfast area to eat. It was a pretty good meal, they had eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruits, bagels, muffins.....etc, so a pretty decent spread. After breakfast we headed upstairs to get all our park stuff and get to the parks. Dale likes to hit MK the first day so this is where we when. But first I took these

We drive over to the TTC and before we could head into the park we had to take care of our AP renewals. I had our one day tickets from last September, for each of us, and it saved us almost 250 dollars :yay::woohoo:. So that done we were going to ride the monorail, but there was a school group and they pretty much took up the whole ramp so we just kept on walking toward the boat ramp.

So you get the idea that we rode the ferry. We made it to the park and :dance3::yay::woohoo::cheer2::banana: WE ARE AT DISNEY :dance3::cheer2:

It was already getting pretty hot, but at least it wasn't raining :yay:.

Ok I am going to have to end here. I took my sleeping pill and it is taking me three times to spell words correct.........lol. More to come soon. Does Dale get forgiven for one of the BIGGEST mistakes he has ever made?

YAY!!! The castle!! Don't you just love the first view of the castle?! There's nothing like it!! :lovestruc

Megan, it is something I can't wrap my head around. Dallas loves the beach and so do I. I guess we are just going to have to become pool people. They sent the workers out to clean up right before the president gets there and it don't seem so bad to him. I don't think he really understands the full impact this is having on us along the coast here :rolleyes1:. Unemployment is going to be 25% or higher due to all the stuff he is doing and not doing.

Love the pics of starting at Disney MK, I like to see what people have on their feet, lol:cool1:

I just can't believe what a mess this oil spill has become! I can't even begin to imagine the effects this is going to have on that area. It's so sad!

Oh the castle! I love that sight! I'm always trying to figure out a way to get back there so I can see it.

Nice update!!!! Biggest Mistake??? LOL Too funny!!!! Was that our ferry boat that you rode on? Think of that next time, our boat is the Richard F Irvine....since our last name is Irvine!!! We always call that "OUR" boat!!! HAHA

If I'm not mistaken those pictures from your Comfort Suites window are of Old Town aren't they? John's always saying he'd do that slingshot thingie but nobody will do it with him. I ain't doing that!

I do NOT miss riding the ferry boat! Every time we go to Disney and see the hordes of people waiting to board, I, literally, say "I am so glad we don't have to do that anymore."

You guys look so cute in the picture together. So fresh and ready to hit the park.

I think I know Dale's biggest mistake.:scared1:

So sad what people are doing to this planet and the innocent wildlife just because they are careless. I can only imagine how sad it must have been to be there.
But yay! The castle! What was this mistake? I will stay tuned. ;)

Alicia, it has become such a HUGE mess, and the saddest part is; there are still no answers.

I love that sight too. I have been so depressed since we got home because I know I am not waking up to go see one of the Disney icons. I am not focusing on our September trip because it is only going to be for a couple of days. I won't plan it out because it is much easier to just wing it on a short trip.

Thank you Christie. I don't know if it is ya'lls ferry or not? I honestly have never paid attention to the names on them; I didn't even know they were named:eek:. I will make sure I look next time though so I can take a picture of it :thumbsup2.
