I went to my son'd back to school night at preschool last night and I was a mess... first I was angry at the policies and didn't want to be there then I started to worry about if Austin would hit someone, if he would throw a tantrum, if he would make it to the potty. Then I just got sad and started to tear up esp when I saw his name on an apple on the big tree that says "New Picks for Fall"

I still obsess over my oldest. It got easier for me with #2 and #3. I guess once I realize that #1 will make it ok I relax with the other two. Really I laugh at the stuff that used to upset me, compared to their teen problems it's minor stuff but doesn't seem to be at the time. If Oldest DS got picked on I worried about whether to call the principal, the teacher, the parents, invite the kid over etc. etc. With youngest DD I just tell her to tell them to take a hike! She is the most resilient kid, nobody messes with her! Last year in 2nd grade she took on a 6th grader in the back of the bus who told her she couldn't sit there. I told her to handle it, she marched up to this kid's mother who is a sub teacher and had a very lengthy conversation with her about her son's behavior and why she should be allowed to sit anywhere she wants. Well she won the battle.

Me too!! (I only have 2):)

I would call the preschool periodically to check on my oldest! Last year when youngest went, I don't think I called the preschool 5x all year! I think it's because I knew the routines and what to expect! My dad always says, "you do things by trial and error with the first one." I think this is true!

He'll be fine Preshi. A few times going to school and he'll be an old pro! And you will be a pro too!

:)
