Ahhh! What's wrong with my computer?

I'm like "Megan, the iPod slayer." This is my 4th iPod shuffle, they've had to send me because my computer enjoys frying up their USB connections! They told me to use the one in the back, but I can't get back there easily, I figured surely, 4 would be enough. Man, I hope Santa brings that Nano for christmas!

ugh. I made the HORRID mistake of getting the new version of iTunes, but not the iPod updater first, and now my iPod is dead, and i cant uninstall any of the updates, or iTunes. So basically I have a 300 dollar white and chrome piece of art.

Did you try uninstalling iTunes and then running the updater and then reinstalling iTunes?

I would, but iTunes has a fanatical grip on my computer, uninstalling it just causes the computer to crash. I just tried to restore it and it wont do that either- it says; ' unable to mount iPod '

How annoying, I'd be on the phone with Apple first thing tomorrow, I think they know me by name now, they've stopped asking it

problem is I didn't actually buy the iPod, long story short, a relative of mine works at an airport, he found it cleaning the plane, and was allowed to keep it because nobody claimed it.
