Spending too much time on this, had planned on WL(our favorite again) but my 6 yr old son LOVES cars, we all have seen the movie lots and lots :)
Art of Animation Cars Suite is actually available in early Dec for our second choice dates with an upgrade to DDP(a must for us) same price as WL with DDP
Will a Deluxe girl be disappointed with AoA? Don't need the kitchen, won't use it, but my son will love the decor!
Worried about crowds and buses...

If it were me I would choose AoA. I would forget that its Value and remind myself that its the themeing - the resort does truly look amazing theme wise and its brand new. Imagine your sons face when he sees his favourite life-size characters. Those kind of memories are priceless.

WL won't go away, you can go there next trip :)

thanks for responding :) my thoughts too but just one more concern, my hubby will not be happy with paper thin walls and too much noise overnight, does anyone know if it is more sound proof than other values?

agree with PP. The Cars areas on the AoA are so nice. I personally think it looks nicer than cars land in DCA. You're son will love it.

I've heard it's quieter than the other values because the doors open into inside cooridors instead of facing outside.

Could you get the best of both worlds and do a few nights at aoa and the rest at wl?

AKL is our home resort and we stay there during each trip, even if it means doing a split stay. I can tell you that you will love AoA. We were there opening day for 5 days and loved it. We plan on going back next month and December and plan on doing split stays with AoA and AKL again. The resort is amazing. I've got alot of pictures from my trip report somewhere on here if you'd care to check them out. But the resort is awesome...do it.

Your 6 yr old child will only be a child once. Let him have his "magical":wizard: moment. Your son will have a time of his life. WL will be there on your next trip. Relax and have fun!! You and you husband are going to Disney!:goodvibes

Can you do a split stay?

My DS 6 loves cars too.... He saw me looking at the pictures of AoA and now when I ask him what the first thing he wants to do when we get to Disney next week is... He says got to the cars hotel! So what do I do... Add a night on to our reservation so we can try the cars suite! Win, win add a night and he is going to be so excited!

Good luck with your decision! We do love WL too! Either way it will be great!

Just my opinion, but you should give AoA a shot! If you're only concerns are crowds and transportation, I will tell you that I am at WL right now...and we have previously stayed at all of the values (except for AoA). We are LOVING the WL, however, the transportation has been no better or worse than our value stays...we have actually only used the boat once because it annoyed us.

Crowds..yes, WL seems quieter at the end of the night, WL wins there....but with the whole "paper thin" walls thing....noting no difference here.....I am hearing toilets flush and people talking....and we are CL 7th floor in a corner room!!! Not saying its bad, just no different than what we've experienced at the values...we've never had a problem with noise at the values.

I think you'll be fine at AoA. WL sure is beautiful though! Good luck with your decision. :goodvibes
