AHHH! I've been dinged but already have tickets ques?

I have already booked with SW but now I have been dinged with a better fare. Will they give you credit? Has anyone experienced this? Please help!

If a lower fare is availabe you can book the new "dinged" fare, open up a new browser window, cancel your existing reservation and then use the funds to pay for your new "ding" fare.

WON'T HELP YOU since the Ding fare has already expired.

I see there is a current DING fare. Work quick.

Cancel your current flights via the travel center on the net. Then go to ding and rebook. Very easy to do. The remainer will be held as credt for a year (must complete travel within that year) from the date of the original purchase.
It is transferrable to anyone.

That is exactly what happened to me! I just got dinged. Unfortunately, I booked the ding price before cancelling my original flight. the good news is that I am going in Oct and will be able to use the credit then. Price went from 78.00 each way to 64.00 each way.

If you book your ding fare first you'll get a credit that can be used for up to 12 months. If you cancel your old ressie first you'll be able to use the credit for that flight.

Some people say to use 2 browser windows. Book the Ding flight but just before you go to pay swith to the other browser window cancel your existing reservation go back to the other window and type in the number to use the funds you just created.
