We are now 92 days out from our 10 person family vacation at BLT grand villa. Our grandaughter just ask us if Tinker Bell would let her hold her in her hands. She thinks she is only a few inchs tall. I hope she will not be too disappointed when she see how "big" she is in real life...smjj

Be sure to find a photographer in Magic Kingdom and tell them you want a pic with her holding Tink. They used to be able to place Tink in your hand when the pic was printed. Last time we were there-Jan.-they did this with DH and I and Stitch. I know in the past I have seen Tink.

Definately try for a picture holding Tink from the Photopass people on MainStreet and in front of the castle.

As for when she meets Tink, it should be fine. The few times we have done it, the CM who walked us back to the room did a really good job of explaining that we were being "sprinkeled with Pixie Dust" as we walked down the hall and to notice that we were getting much smaller.

As you approach the door in your small group the trees will appear HUGE and there are lady bugs and mushrooms that are about your size. When you get in with Tink and her friends there are more things to help you feel small - giant teacups, stacks of pennies and a thimble or two.

If you end up having a CM that doesn't explain things, make sure to point it out to her. There are twinkling lights that look like pixie dust as you walk down the hall to help with the magic. You will also hear giggles and an occassional bell. If she watches the Tinkerbell movies at all then you can point those out as well and she will know what they are for.

So, just explain to your GD that she won't be able to hold Tink in her hand when they meet because she and Tink will be the same size thanks to Disney Magic and Pixie Dust! It worked for my 6 and 4 year old and we had a great visit. Those fairies sure do talk A LOT!!

Have a wonderful trip!

I can also PM you some pictures of my kids meeting Tink if you would like so that you can show her what to expect.

Sweet :) Definitely get the picture with Tink in her hand and also go to Tinkerbells Treasures by the Castle and ask the CMs if she can call Tink-really cute:thumbsup2

I work with children from 6 mths to 10 years old and when I showed my phone pics to the kids upon my return I just explained that there was some special magic that happened to me and my family and is made us the same size as Tink and her Friends. They asked if it hurt, of course I said no, it felt wonderful and magical. After we got to meet with the Faries we magically grew again when we left Pixie Hollow. All very cute!

That is so sweet! :lovestruc I feel like I have to treasure these moments after reading threads where people's teenagers don't want to go to the parks or complain the whole time they are there. I love it!

It was with my DD's who were 11 and turning Sweet 16 on the trip with whom I and DH went to meet the Faries with. My girls embraced the magic on this particular trip which was exactly what I was hoping for. It was a wonderful 2 week celebration for my DD's Sweet Sixteen one that neither of us will ever forget.

That is encouraging news! I hope my DS5 and DD7 will still revel in the magic when they are older!
