AGLET – We're Gonna Tour The World Together! Updated 11/9!!!

That's awesome that you could actually see Tinkerbell from the Poly beach! Hooray for the teeny tiny green dot!

Your fireworks pictures are NOT terrible! Okay, so is the IllumiNations music a ringtone? I would buy that up in a heartbeat. Amazing.

Yay for seeing Wishes! :yay:

We saw it from the outdoor patio at Narcoossee's, and we really enjoyed it. We'd seen fireworks shows plenty of times at D-land, but seeing it from that restaurant on the water at WDW (during a lobster dinner, no less) was wonderful.

I'm intrigued by your reference to putting your room key in your sweatshirt and not bringing a bag. Hope you didn't lose anything!

Yeay for seeing Wishes! I am especially envious that afterwards you just turned around and walked back to your room -- no fighting the crowds down Main Street or at the bus stop. :thumbsup2

Awww I'm so glad you finally saw Wishes!!! It's a must do for me, no matter how many times I've seen it. I love watching it from MK at the Partners statue, you're right in the middle of it all. The crowds around are fun too because they really do Ooh and Aah in all the right places.
I added you on Flickr, hope you don't mind! (I'm teekathepony there too, always trying to find more Disney pictures to stare at ;) )

I am glad that you have finally seen Wishes- and liked it too! It would have been worse if you waited this long and didn't even care for it!

Yeah for Wishes! On our 2009 trip we actually caught Wishes but never made it to Epcot at night for illuminations...

Love the view you had from the Poly!

Trying to pick a night to catch Wishes in October is quite troublesome since half the nights are MNSSHP instead!

Hooray for FINALLY seeing Wishes! :woohoo:

Now if you really, really liked it from the Poly beach, imagine how much more you'd like it from Main Street USA! :goodvibes

Well, I'm gonna say it too "I can't believe you've never seen Wishes!" I'm so glad that you finally got to see Wishes and Tinkerbell. There's no need to apologize for your fireworks pictures. Mine always turn out really crappy despite the fact that I take dozens of them.

I've always wanted to see Wishes from the Poly beach! I've seen it so many times from Main Street, other areas of the MK, and the balcony at California Grill, but that looks like a really unique perspective. You should definitely try and see it from Main Street on your next trip though... there really is nothing like it.

Anyways, after the show, we turned around and went straight back into Tokelau. We decided to call it a night, and relaxed in the room with a few episodes of Community.

Yeay for seeing Wishes! I am especially envious that afterwards you just turned around and walked back to your room -- no fighting the crowds down Main Street or at the bus stop. :thumbsup2

So very nice! I looked into renting a room for one night for the NYE trip to do the same, but it was a little (LOT) too much. ;)

Ahhhh I'm so glad you finally saw Wishes, it's about time! Isn't it AMAZING!!! :lovestruc I need to watch it from the Poly beach sometime. I'll probably save that for when I actually stay at the Poly, though! :cool1:

OMG I just tried making Illuminations my ringtone, but I couldn't get my stupid app to work on my phone, so I gave up. I have this app called "Ringtone Maker" and it's seriously like, a 10 step process just to make a 30 second ringtone. I actually made for for "Legacy" a while ago, and I followed the 10 steps, got it on my phone and everything, and then it disappeared!

So cool you finally got to see Wishes. And... your pics were not that bad... and your comments were more than entertaining. I am however now waiting... You said a paragraph was important. What happened???popcorn::

Hey there Sara! I am very late to this party...but looks like there is till plenty of fun, stories and and great food to come. :yay:

Holding my spot here in the beautiful white sand beach of the Poly and running back to read everything and catch up.

So glad you "finally" got to experience Wishes! It is so amazing! One of the few times I have seen my 6'4" military mans man hubby tear up was watching wishes. :)

You took the words right out of my mouth.....HOW HAVE YOU NOT SEEN WISHES BEFORE?!

Anywho, now that's out of the way...I'm glad that you enjoyed it. We actually didn't watch it from the Poly, but it's awesome that they pipe in the music and everything.

Hahaha I just hadn't!!! It was the elusive fireworks show for us!

It was definitely fun to watch it from the Polynesian (not just because we were staying there!) I didn't think the viewpoint was too bad!

Phew... I made it and I'm all caught up.

Your Citricos review makes me want to try it again. We went a few years ago, and weren't super impressed, but I think you have convinced me to try it again.

So glad you finally saw Wishes! (I love that you were like it was good...but Illuminations has zebras! Top that Wishes :laughing:)

Hahaha welcome back! :goodvibes

It seems to be a very-continually rotating menu - maybe you'd find something you'd enjoy better on a more recent menu? I had heard a few mixed reviews before our meal, but we definitely enjoyed it!

Hahaha exactly! I didn't see any zebras in Wishes...:rolleyes1

YAY!!! You saw Wishes!! Of course you loved it...you'd have to be a heartless villain to not love it! Your photos aren't so bad...they're very obviously fireworks! :rotfl:

LOL pretty much!!! I honestly can't think of anyone I've ever heard of that hates Wishes.

Hahaha "very obviously fireworks"? I'll take it! :thumbsup2

How convenient to see Wishes from just steps outside your room. I love the view of the castle and the fireworks. Could you really see tink from there?

OK - so what did you lose from your pocket? Please tell me it wasn't your phone?

Oh it was wonderfully convenient! That was one of my favorite parts of the Poly!

Yes! She was a little green shape, but you definitely could see her!

Nothing was technically lost, per se...

You should have seen me at that moment. I honestly think I may have jumped up and down, pointing, like "THERE'S TINKERBELL!!!!" :yay::yay:

Haha thank you! Wingnut made the song into a short mp3 clip for me that I then downloaded to my phone! He's very good to me .

Yay for seeing Wishes! :yay:

That's so cool! I bet you had a great view from Narcoosees! That was the first meal that I ever had a castle view during, and I TOTALLY understood why people love it!

Nothing was technically lost...

Yeay for seeing Wishes! I am especially envious that afterwards you just turned around and walked back to your room -- no fighting the crowds down Main Street or at the bus stop. :thumbsup2

Oh it was sooo wonderful to just walk calmly back into the room. That's always been the reason we've never seen Wishes, I've just heard too many tales of being trapped on Main Street!

Awww I'm so glad you finally saw Wishes!!! It's a must do for me, no matter how many times I've seen it. I love watching it from MK at the Partners statue, you're right in the middle of it all. The crowds around are fun too because they really do Ooh and Aah in all the right places.

That really does sound awesome to be so immersed in the show! I'm just wary of having to fight the crowds to get there (and back)!

I don't mind at all! I added you too! :goodvibes

Hahaha right?? No, we loved it!! :thumbsup2

Trying to pick a night to catch Wishes in October is quite troublesome since half the nights are MNSSHP instead!

Sometimes it's really hard to fit in everything you want to see and do! We never ever do everything we set out to!

Ugh, how annoying! Hopefully you find a good night!

Hooray for FINALLY seeing Wishes! :woohoo:

Now if you really, really liked it from the Poly beach, imagine how much more you'd like it from Main Street USA! :goodvibes

Hahaha I know, I know! Someday, we will!

Well, I'm gonna say it too "I can't believe you've never seen Wishes!" I'm so glad that you finally got to see Wishes and Tinkerbell. There's no need to apologize for your fireworks pictures. Mine always turn out really crappy despite the fact that I take dozens of them.

Hahaha I know, I felt like such a bad Disney fan!

I really should just not even bother taking the pictures, but I do enjoy looking at them, even though they're all blurry!

I'm really enjoying your trip report! It's making me hungry! Great pictures of food! :goodvibes

Welcome!! Thank you!!! :goodvibes

I know, I really really should see it from Main Street! The Polynesian offered a pretty direct view, it was nice! (Just a bit smaller than watching it from actually inside the MK!)

So very nice! I looked into renting a room for one night for the NYE trip to do the same, but it was a little (LOT) too much. ;)

Oh boy, I can't even imagine the rates for NYE! :scared1: That's why I always try to go during value season!! :thumbsup2

It was really really cool to watch Wishes from the Poly!

Wingnut made the ringtone for me, he used Audacity to clip the song down and then convert it to an MP3, which I then just downloaded onto my phone! I've never used the Ringtone Maker app, it sounds like it would be cool (except for all of the problems it was giving you!)

So cool you finally got to see Wishes. And... your pics were not that bad... and your comments were more than entertaining. I am however now waiting... You said a paragraph was important. What happened???popcorn::

Hahaha thank you!! You'll see pretty soon...definitely not as bad as when you lost your phone, but still not the best moment!

Welcome!!! Glad to have you here!! :goodvibes

I really can't think of anyone who doesn't like Wishes! Really, it's an absolutely wonderful show!

yay for finally seeing Wishes! I honestly love that show, but I think a major part of that is hearing the music that goes along with it...I just get chills each time.

Anyways.....wondering what happened with the pocket of your sweatshirt and your items......
