Aggravated with ToysRUs this morning.

Sorry to hear you had a problem - I have never had a problem with TRU - LOVE THEM!!!! But I will admit usually I go to the store - but I have ordered online multiple times with no problems.... :) Items going on sale right after I buy them happens same with buying airfare... I just dont ever look again makes me feel better.. LOL

I was in there today for a return. I decided to check out their Legos where they had signs all over advertising "buy 1, get one 50% off" They were under all of their sets and said "all construction sets and games". So I bought a base for $16.99 and a Ninjago feet for $16.99. At the time I checked out, I had just found out that an in-law had passed and wasn't thinking well. I was half way home (30 min drive) when I realized they didn't ring up the 50% off. Ugh! I'm reading on line from others that Ninjago is excluded but it didn't say that one the store signs. I will to go back for the $7.50 they owe me or return both items..

I had the same problem....went to the store and it had signs everywhere stating B1G1 50% off on ALL Lego sets then below it said it excluded Star Wars sets. So I grabbed 2 of the 99.00 sets that my children had asked for and 2 of the 49.00 sets, going to have them rang separately to get an 'even' 50% off. I also grabbed two DS superbuy video games (19.99 games) and they were B1G1 40% off and then two of the Wii superbuy games where you buy 2 for $25.00.

I asked if everything rang up correctly as she rang it up and she said yes....I asked twice on the Lego's and the 2 for 25.00 games, both she said rang up correctly.

Once I finished paying I looked over the receipt and NEITHER rang up right. I went straight to the CS desk and was told it was only regularly priced Lego sets...and both of the more expensive sets were 5.00 off or so from 'regular' price. Then the 2 for 25.00 games didn't ring up correctly because it was for games that were 19.99 each, and one of the ones I picked up was 19.98....LOL And the two superbuy 19.99 games....one rang up 39.99 and they gave me the 40% off the cheaper....nice.

I returned the Legos and the 2 for 25.00 games and came home to find that all the Legos online were ringing up B1G1 50% and the games were showing up correctly too....so I reordered...ugghhh. Then it took them 3 days to get my refund posted, and this was over Black Friday weekend so that was 200.00 that I couldn't spend on bigger sales :(

Ugh! I can feel your frustration. After I came home, I pulled out the ad and it says it excludes Star Wars and Ninjago (plus 1 other I can't remember). The signs in store didn't say that but I'm not going to fight it, I'm taking both items back and will go elsewhere.

I have only done an online orde with TRU once and it was enough to let me know I never, ever want to order from them again. It took them over 4 weeks for my merchandise to get to me (for in stock items) and when I tried to get ahold of CS to ask what the holdup was, they were all idiots who couldn't read.

I sent them an email that included my name, address, phone number, order number and order date and they sent me back an email saying they couldn't help me until I provided them with certain information, all of which was in the original email

Fortunately my order came the next day, because I didn't think I was ever going to get ahold of an intelligent person.

If you return an online order instore you will not get your money back, you will get store credit.

take it back to store, get store credit, rebuy comforter and save the $20+ for another day or buy her something else. I know its a run around but if its not way out of your way?

Ugh. I have very few complaints about online shopping. Toys R Us is one of them.:headache:

I had a list of 6 things I needed. 5 of them out of stock online. So I waited a week and few of those things became available. I made my order, and got a confirmation number. I then immediately got an email that 2 items weren't available and had been removed from my order. This put my total under the 100 I needed for free shipping and all of a sudden I was paying shipping.:headache:

But hey! That's o.k., because I did get an email the next day saying my gift cards didn't work and they cancelled the entire order! You know.. the gift cards that had a full balance that I checked on their website before I made the purchase.

Sooooooo.. I call customer service. They can't tell me why the gift cards aren't working.. but my order is cancelled. But the gift cards were charged.

So my non working gift cards did in fact work. They now had my money, had cancelled my order and it would take 5 days to get my money back.:headache::headache::headache:

When all was said and done, I finally went back to make another order, the sale was over, they wouldn't honor the sale prices from my order the week before and I had to find new stuff again.

I won't use their online shopping ever again.

Same thing - except Babies R Us - early last week wife bought (in-store) changing table and crib for a shower - then on Black Friday the combo was $130 less - they wouldn't price match or credit, she asked to speak to the manager and was told the same thing - so she bought the special on Friday - and then this week will return the first set for a refund. Really? Customer Service?

Totally agree! I ordered a buy one wii game get one free with free shipping. Both showed as "in stock". Without any kind of pop up or anything they give me an online receipt that says the game I really wanted which was a good price was "not in stock" and would not be sent. The game I had chosen as the "free" game was overpriced (which didn't matter when it was "free") and was now 19.99 + SHIPPING! No message before they completed the sale to the effect of "the item is out of stock, do you still want to continue?" they just processed the order for the 19.99 game (sold for $15 elsewhere) adding shipping right on. I was floored! I've never experienced anything like this ordering online. Luckily I was able to immediately cancel the order. I will NEVER, EVER order online with them again.

It's just absurd.

I just went through this same thing with Walmart. And it wasn't even Black Friday! A camera I bought at Walmart.com with free site to store shipping had been picked up 5 days earlier. Now the price was $10 lower. E-mailed customer service and they said no price adjustment.

Fine. I ordered the new one via free site-to-store, and going to pick it up today and return the first one. Ridiculous, but Walmart is close by so...whatever.

We were just at TRU on Sunday. I saw a Green Lantern toy ds wants for Christmas. I knew that Target's price was $34.50. But I had a $10 coupon from TRU off any purchase so I figured I'd get it there. It was *49.99*! Forget that. Then I got home and found those toys were 50% off this week at Target, so I got it for $17.25. :goodvibes

And I am reminded again of why I rarely shop at TRU!

Sure she can do that, I just wanted to let her and others know that if you try to return an online order at the store that you won't get your money back. Its okay if you plan to buy something in the store anyway, but if you weren't, it really is a horrible policy.

I kinda figured BRU/TRU might be a bad company to do business with when I tried to buy the Flip cloth diapers on my registery on Cyber Monday. The normal price is $59.99 per box and I need 3. They said it was 15% off but it was out of stock. The next day, Tuesday, it was "magicaly" back in stock, but back to it's regular price of $59.99.

I also tried to order the baby swing I want, it said it was a "special low price" and I had to put it in my cart to see the low price (which is fine, lots of online retailers do that). I put it in my cart, and it's the regular price, it's not on sale at ALL! And it still wont' give me free shipping.

Screw it. Anything I don't get from my baby shower, I'll get online at Amazon unless it's only something BRU carries, and in that case I'll buy it in store only.

Ok, I don't watch Nickelodeon, so I can't even explain WHY DD4 wants a Lite Sprite, but she does... ooohhhhh mama does she want one...

Now, I have had nothing but drama with TRU this season, but I gave their website a look, at least... up through yesterday it said "PREORDER NOW! (expected ship date 1 December)... today I checked back and it says "BACKORDERED".

I am soooooo glad I didn't order with them! Yes, I had to drive to Target at lunch today and search and search to find a green-and-pink-boxed fairy doll in a row full of green-and-pink boxes, some fairies, some not... but I did find the one she wants, drama free, no shipping, nada.

Sooo happy I didn't order from them. As badly as they are doing this season... I might have ended up on the 6 o'clock news!!!! :rotfl:
