Okay, I cannot seem to settle down and decide on a resort! We are currently booked for a preferred room with the deluxe dining plan at Pop Century -- we would all be happy with that if we went with Pop (have stayed there before and enjoyed it).
However, here is my dilemma -- we would all LOVE, LOVE, LOVE staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Have never stayed there and would like to try it. If we did that we would have to get a pool view and drop down to the regular dining plan. We would buy the refillable mugs and do a character breakfast OOP -- also would probably end up having to pay for a couple of CS breakfasts and maybe some snacks OOP. With the difference in the meal plan and upgrading to a deluxe, the package is $400 more.
So, what is everyone's opinion on what we should do -- do we stick with our original plans and eat constantly for seven days while staying at the Pop -- or splurge a little more and stay at AKL? Agghhh! I just can't decide, and it's killing me! DH says, "whatever will make you happy!" Nice, but not terribly helpful.

. The kids have never stayed deluxe before and I think they would have a blast. DS's only concern is that no matter where he stays, he wants to make sure there is enough money to buy the monorail playset

After I've done my research in trying to find what resort we would want for our WDW vacation, a piece of advice to you is to stick with what YOU can afford and what will make YOUR vacation a great one. Nobody can really make that decision for you. Getting opinions on resorts, moderates, deluxes, etc is something everyone asks on here BUT..........it is hard to give advice on what only you know you can afford. So, go over it with your family and truly decide how it is the best way to spend your money. We had 1st looked at a mod resort, not because we couldn't afford the deluxe, but because we thought we liked the theming of a couple of them and could have even more money for other things, however, when it came down to our decision it was based upon alot of things. I do not like having the smaller beds that the mods offer and I don't like exterior corridors. That being said, we chose the AKL. We loved the theming, food choices, the pool, etc and it was the choice for us. It is good to get opinions because believe you me, I've asked for a plenty of them on here and everyone has been great in providing help but........in the end, it is YOUR vacation so make it one YOU can enjoy and have a magical time
Woo! Woo!
