age for driving water mice?

Can anyone who has been recently tell me the age for renting/driving water mice? I know that it used to be 12, but I just read the the WL facts thread that the age for driving is 16.

We had planned to rent boats with our two 14 year old boys, but not if they aren't able to drive!

There have recently been a few accidents w/water mice. You now must be 16 and hold a valid driver's license in order to drive.

Someone posted over the weekend that he had called one of the resorts and been told that it was still 12 over by Y&BC.
