I'm 28 and voted conservative in this poll although I try to vote libertarin in all elections because while I am conservative, I have no desire to make other people be conservative.
If this poll is any indication of the general population, it sure does show why both candidates NEED to persuade the moderates to their side of the playing field, doesn't it?
For the record, I'm in the Conservative age 22 to 40, group

i chose moderate, but i'm more towards the liberal side of that. i have some conservative financial and libertarian leanings that tend to push me more towards the center.

I was too. In college I became more moderate, not at 27, I'm definately a moderate leaning towards conservative. Another 10-15 years and I should be a flaming conservative, then maybe the cylce will repeat ?
i think college tends to have a moderating effect on people. dh was REALLY conservative when he first came to college. (i thought he was a big jerk when i first met him! )
It depends. Can someone please give me a simple definition of liberal, moderate, and conservative ? Then maybe I can label myself . All I know is that I fit into the 22-40 age group.
simple. I have many "conservative" views ( like being opposed to abortion for example ) but I have no desire to enforce my views on everyone else by law.
