We continued to drive ….

We made it through Atlanta and kept on going. My plan was for us to stop in the town Farrah mentioned. I Can’t remember the name right now. She can probably tell us after she reads this.

I looked to see what was there and got some ones close to the highway’s phone numbers. I told DH that I was going to call but he said to wait till we got closer so we could see how he was feeling. He still wasn’t sure if we’d keep going till we got to Orlando or not.

As we were driving the rain and wind started to get real bad. DH asked me to look into it so we could see how long it might last. It was pretty horrendous rain but the visibility was still ok. We’ve had worse in Orlando a few years ago. I looked and told him it looked like about another half hour and it should be gone as we were going the opposite direction from it.

Lucky for me… I was right… about 30 minutes or so later it let up to a sprinkle and another 30 minutes it was pretty much gone…

Scott and Jamie may have a pic I sent them during the rain.. I can’t find one.. apparently I deleted after sending.

So we got near … the town…. And DH said he wanted to keep going and at least get across the border into Florida …

We reached the border… crossed it… and he said he was getting tired… I started calling hotels along the route…. Thank you GPS… and all of them were pretty crazy prices so he said …

Lets just get to Orlando and then we’ll be able to sleep in tomorrow since we will only have a few minute drive…

My mission…

Locate a hotel IN Orlando… that was a decent price since we’d literally ONLY be sleeping and showering… and make sure they have room for us…

I called and called and a lot of places wanted insane prices… even though we’d be checking in at midnight and be out by 11 am… less than 12 hours … eek… I finally found a place… can’t remember the name…. and told them we’d be there around midnight.

We kept on going… passed like 3 tolls… I hate those dang Florida Turnpike Tolls..

As we made our way to the hotel we were very eager to just get there and get to sleep. DH dropped me up at the office and waited just outside.

I checked us in and got the room key and the manager said it was about 5 doors down from the office and on the ground floor…SCORE!

I pointed forward and walked as DH watched to see where I was going.

Once I stopped at the door he parked in the spot right in front of it … he let out the boys while I went and got Mini out… we got all the kids in the bed and I ran out and got our luggage and brought it in so we could have everything we needed in the morning.

After that I tried to see if there was any Wi-Fi at the hotel… which there wasn’t… so I texted Jamie and Scott to let them know we’d arrived and were going to sleep..

And sleep is what we did…

I woke up around 9am, woke Mini, and we headed to the shower… time to go to Disney today baby!!!

We got ready… I set out clothes for the boys while they showered…

As soon as they were out DH got in after grabbing the clothes he needed. I then packed everything back up in our suitcases and put them back in the car.

By then DH was out of the shower and doing the normal… toothbrushing, yadda yadda, we checked the news for the weather then loaded the kids up in the car and I walked to the office to check us out and pay while he drove over. After a painless checkout we were on the road…

One problem… GPS didn’t want to work… I had to quickly reboot and then look without the sensor for the roads… lucky for DH I am good at that and we headed in the right direction while the GPS located the satellite. Once it had we saw we were in fact on the right road.

Here are the kids in the morning on our way to Disney… just 24 minutes baby!!!

I honestly can't either... DH swore up and down we would be stopping before we left home... but when the "machine" gets in his groove lol... there is no stopping it lol

It took time... each year I get DH to go a little longer .... Next year... we are only doing a week though... I had to agree to it so I could get a week in California hehe

hehe... I was gonna see if u had an extra bed j/k lol... We got lucky found a place for like 55 a night
