After waitlist is filled, how long to show on website?

I called MS today for an unrelated reservation, and while speaking to the rep, she said "Oh! I see you have a match for your June waitlist! It must have just come through." I did not think to ask how long it would be before the DVC site shows the updated reservation.

How long did it take before you could view your reservation?
 
The new reservation should show up on the website as soon as MS makes it.

Sounds like your waitlist match is sitting in the file waiting for a CM to make the actual reservation. They should get to it soon. But nothing for you to worry about. If the match is there, you have the reservation. Congratulations.
 
Thanks! It is not showing up yet, but this makes me feel better. They may be backlogged.
 

Well, I called back. The rep said that he could see my waitlist match in the system and did not know why it had not been processed. Put me on hold for 10 minutes, came back and said waitlist had been processed and gave me a confirmation #.

I check the member site and find that I have two reservations now for the same dates! When the waitlist was processed they did not cancel the original reservation and use those points, they just borrowed more. Sooo I call back again and got someone who sounds a little more experienced. He said that he will send in paperwork to do a manual adjustment to put my points back into the proper use year.

Whew! I didn't think a waitlist would be this complicated! :scared1:

My guess is that when you called back, that CM "processed" the waitlist for you. Either he did it incorrectly, did not read the waitlist notes or perhaps the waitlist was not set up properly to begin with and had no notes about canceling the original reservation.

The good news is that it will all work out in the end. (But I know you will still keep an eye on your account to be sure the points get put back the way they are supposed to be. I would, too)!

I was trying to piece together a stay for June 21-27. I was willing to stay anywhere, but wanted a studio. I was able to get the 21st and 22nd at Saratoga Springs. I got the 23rd and 24th at Animal Kingdom, however one night was in Jambo House and one night in Kidani Village. I couldn't get a room anywhere for the rest of the stay!

I waitlisted for the 23rd-27th at SaratogaSprings or the 21-27 at Jambo house. Saratoga Springs came through.

SSR is what I wanted. It feels very "refreshing" in the summer! :goodvibes
