Making Sure Banked Points are Valid

In late December I made an offer on a 50 point AUL contract with 50 banked points from 2025 according to the listing. Working on signing the contract now and I'm not sure if those 50 banked points should be noted in the contract. I can't seem to find them in the document. Has anyone purchased a contract with banked points before and if so, how was that notated in the contract? Thanks!

It should be documented when delineating the number of points in the current year. It should also say how much money you're owed per point if for whatever reason the contract is missing points. If you're uncertain if there are actually points there you could try to ask for a screenshot of the dashboard.

For mine, I was under the impression that my contract was going to come with like 81 current year points but it ended up being 66 and 15 previously banked points. Since I was unsure if I was going to travel within that use year, I asked to be reimbursed for those 15 points and our agreed upon rate in the contract was 20 dollars per point so I ended up getting 300 back.

Sorry, I’m slightly confused here. You were in the Dec UY when made the offer. You are still in the Dec UY currently. That 2025 UY lasts nearly all of 2026.

When say “banked points from 2025”. The points could only end up in the 2026 UY. (Are there 100 now in that UY?)

Would assume the contract would list points available per UY, before you sign.

Yes they will be detailed in the contract. Different brokers have different contracts but it should be there somewhere. Dont sign if you don’t see them.
