Flying with Globespan in November and fully paid. Time to cut and run??? Just pay the cancellation charges and rebook with another carrier
??? At least we will get a holiday this way - but at a price.
Don't know which way to jumpAny views?
If I was you I wouldnt cancel it (yet). I dont think Globespan will go within a few months.
I do think as someone already said, the allbury group will be next. They stopped taking bookings at one point today on their website. They have already had to cancel much of their summer 2008 programme because they were using mostly XL Flights. I dont see how they can come out of this.
Someone also mentioned to me Olympic today although Im not sure how they are doing at the moment.
I think Longwood would be okay too for the time being.
I am a travel agent but these are just my views. We were selling XL right up untill the day they went under. Of course we are now dealing with the problems but at least the customer is safe as we hold both ABTA and ATOL licenses.
I managed to rescue a customers TCD holiday today which was due to travel in October half term. They only paid around 10% more than they did with TCD but thats now flying with BA and of course booked much closer to the time of travel so I think a pretty good deal all in all!
