After riding the Disneyland coasters...

Awaiting the OP's thoughts on Tower of Terror. I started rides in my 20s. Go Coaster - then Matterhorm - then Big Thunder. It still took me a couple years for Splash and Space - I hate drops. It then took many more years for Screamin. I think I was 38? I now enjoy all of those - well - I don't enjoy Splash - I tolerate the drop for the rest of the ride and time with my family. But I honestly have no desire to do ToT - I just hate drops.

I get motion sickness pretty easily, and for that reason had held off on going on ToT because I was convinced that the up and down/drops would make me sick. I finally decided to just go for it last month at Disney World, because life is short and I want to have no regrets, such as regretting having never tried something like ToT. So, I did it. Immediately after having gone on Rock N' Roller Coaster, which has loops and is in the dark!

My verdict? Not bad at all! The theme was nice and spooky. I was terrified the entire time leading up to the ride, and it was all I could do to not exit the ride once I was strapped in. But I stayed, and it turned out fine. I didn't get sick. I screamed my head off. I kinda liked it, really! I would absolutely go again.

The ToT in Disney World is unpredictable, each time you go is different. You never know if you'll drop a few times, or many more. My experience, we dropped probably 6-7 times.

Long story short: I get motion sickness, but was able to go directly from a dark roller coaster with inversions to ToT with no issues.

I hope you get to try!

Edit: I should mention that I did take Dramamine (less drowsy formula) daily on my trip, so that probably helped me keep from getting sick. Just full disclosure!

The first time I rode ToT was in 2005, It was a girls trip with 3 of my besties.
My ride partner and I rode it on the first day and it did scare the crud out of her. I rode it again the second day by myself and it was a completely different experience the second time as I knew what to expect. way less scary. it took me till our last day to convince her it was not the same the second time, but that last day she went on again, and again, and again.... LOL She said she wished she would have gone the second time with me so she could have ridden it more! LOL ToT is our favorite ride!
