After park hours party proposed June 19th! (Project X event)

Just a FYI. The registration mail was sent late yesterday afternoon and everyone on the mailing list should now know what they need to do in order to pay their deposits.

If you think you should already be on the mailing list but didn't receive the email, or are interested in attending any of these events but haven't already pre-registered then send an email to projectx@wdwinfo.com and I'll get the info back to you by return of mail.

There is a maximum attendance limit on both the Adventurers Club and Illuminations Dessert Party and therefore places will be offered on a strictly first come, first serve basis based on when the deposit payment is received.

Have a great weekend everyone! :sunny:

By the way, I did just notice that I missed a question from Goofy4tink earlier on...I'm so sorry about that! :o

In answer to your question there shouldn't be any problems with the animals being out at that time - being in June it's obviously a lot later when it gets dark and should therefore still be long before bedtime for the critters - especially as during the days it's really hot then so the animals tend to hide away and nap during that time and become more active when it cools down again. Well...that's the theory ;)

Thanks Penny. Now to see how AK will fit in with our schedule. I know IllumiNations will but not so sure about after hours AK. I'll get the deposit out today!!! thanks for all the hard work.

Updated and edited. Please note that I have swapped the day for this with the Illuminations Dessert Party - it's now happening on Sunday 19th and the Dessert Party is Saturday 18th.

This is because it looks unlikely that we'll get the required 200 people minimum needed for a the private event so by moving it to the Sunday we'll have the option to do the Grand Gathering Safari Dinner instead.

Penny -
Since you are now planning Grand Gathering Safari Dinner instead, will the prices change? Or is it still the same as the private party? Would really love to do this if it is in our budget. :flower:

Hi Heidi

Yes, the price changes if we do the Grand Gathering experience :) As is it no longer a private event it get's a lot cheaper. Here's some info I have:-

SAFARI CELEBRATION DINNER

In this Grand Gatherings Experience, guests gather in the exotic city of Harambe at Disney's Animal Kingdom® for high adventure on the Kilimanjaro Safari.

Parties journey through the park's authentic African plains and across the sweeping, baobab-studded savanna, spotting giraffes, elephants and other wild African creatures with their own private guide.

Following this special safari, guests move to the Tusker House Restaurant where they meet their host who welcomes them to a delicious dinner consisting of chicken, vegetables, assorted Artesian breads and more.

During dinner, guests have the opportunity to get an up close animal experience with one of the Animal Programs Keepers, who arrive with a live animal and answer any questions that guests may have about the Kilimanjaro Safari or Disney's Animal Kingdom®.

As a special part of the celebration, the host introduces two very special residents of Disney's Animal Kingdom® who wanted to stop by, Terk and Timon! Guests have the opportunity to enjoy a meet-and-greet with these loveable Disney characters.

The Safari Celebration Dinner experience is available Sundays and Thursdays at Disney's Animal Kingdom®, at a cost of $59.99 for guests ages 10 and older, and $19.99 for guests ages 3-9.

I am just waiting to find out if we can book this through our Disney rep rather than the Grand Gatherings Department too - even if it means all the payment still goes thru me (with normal Grand Gatherings events each person can call in to pay separately if they want) it would probably be advantageous if we can book it thru our rep - I once had to book the GG breakfast for 8 people....it to me over an HOUR...total nightmare. I'd think it a one off, but I've heard many people complaining since how bad the GG department is to deal with (or at least their computer).

I'm hoping that if it can be done thru our regular rep we can just send a list of names and a check and be done with it in one swoop! That's wishful thinking on my part though and I suspect we won't be able to though *sigh*
