My family and I will be at Disney over the 4th. We will NOT be going to any parks on the 4th for fear of being trampled etc. What do you think the crowds will be like on the 5th and the 6th as that is the beginning of a new work week for many and hopefully some will be going home???? I've heard they will close the parks if they get pretty full. Is it that bad on the 5th too? Anyone with any advise or previous experience PLEASE help!!

Well ... July 4 is on a Sunday, which means Monday is still a holiday. While many of the out-of-town visitors will be headed out that day, all the locals will still have the day off, so you can expect Monday to be quite crowded as well. July 6 you'll probably notice a drop off, although you'll have above-normal July crowds then too. Lots of people will start a week of vacation on July 2 or 3, to take advantage of the fact that Monday is a legal holiday.

The crowds on July 5 and 6 won't be anywhere near the crowds on July 4, but you still need to get to the parks early if you want any hope of getting fastpasses for the popular rides. Parks probably won't close at capacity either day, but it will feel as if they should.

Be sure to have a plan, drink plenty of water, and have fun!
