After hours 2025 & DVC stay

Wow y'all, I just checked March 17 MK after hours.

Almost $800 for family of 4!

That's a very expensive 3 hours! 7pm start doesn't help me because I have AP.

If Epcot has EEH that night, I'd take that 2 hours for free over $800 for 3 hours.

Indeed it is expensive. That said we are suckers for after hours events. The biggest differentiating factor (for us at least) vs EEH is that the after hours events have an hour mix in where the regular guests are shuffled out of the party, EEH can be frustrating for us due to regular guests hopping in line 1 minute before park close so a chunk of EEH is eaten up by being in line behind regular guests.

Needless to say I purchased our MK and EPCOT after hours tickets this morning.

Good points! I'm a bit miffed that there are DVC discounts for all the AH parties except MK. Throw us a bone for Pete's sake.

At the moment there are no AP discounts either. I am hoping DVC or AP discounts will be coming as I want the MK one on 2/3.

That’s really nuts! I’m now debating too b/c the HS one we were planning on doesn’t start until 10 PM…and um, I have a a young kiddo and probably should be a more responsible parent…even if she’s on spring break 😬.

Yes, a 10pm start is late for my family too. At least the price on DHS is a little better than MK.

I don't think they plan on discounting for Magic Kingdom. Kind of like they did for MVMCP.

I have to say, they are approaching the limit of what I'm willing to pay for a very late night 3-hour "party".

That is what my husband said too. He doesn't like to stay up late and the cost was a bit too much for him. Then he said, "wait, I thought you wanted a DVC contract so we guaranteed we were going to WDW every year and could take the parks slower?"

oh yeah, I did say that. So, guess we aren't going to After Hours this year 😞

The last time we went to MK After Hours, it was $135 after discount. $175 with no discount crosses the line for us; $135 was kind of marginal.

While checking that in my email history, I found that Villains After Hours at MK was $109 after discount in 2019. Event-exclusive content and $66 cheaper. 5 years makes a difference.

Yeah, the AH at MK is more expensive than Jollywood Nights. I get it's a different park, but still .

I guess it's like most other prestige experiences at WDW in that it only takes a small number of people willing to splurge to justify.

If you're NOT a pass holder, it can probably be justified. Reduce MYW tickets by a day and get money's worth from 7pm - close. Financially it's not much different than MVMCP or MNSSHP, albeit without some of the uniqueness. I've never done the paid after hours events, and in a span of approx 20 years, have only done Halloween party once and Christmas 3x. I'm probably not their target audience. lol
