I know Fireworks are currently taking place every night. I hope this continues thru the off season since F! will be dark. Anyone with me?!

ME!!!! We are going the end of January, and I am hoping for fireworks every night! (but planning for them only on the weekends.)

I don't see how Fantasmic! going dark would affect fireworks availability since Fantasmic! isn't usually shown during the week during the "off-season"

One can hope, but I think they have agreements with the surrounding neighborhoods to worry about.

Do you mean the surrounding neighborhoods that were built long after there was a Disneyland?

Yep! Disney has an agreement with the local residents about fireworks, which is why they aren't usually presented every night like at WDW. They got special permission to run them every night this year through the holiday season. My guess is at the start of 2016 it will go back to the regular schedule.

sorry not trying to hijack the thread but when will it be dark until?

The Rivers of America and all that goes along with it are going down for about 1 year to 1 1/2 years. The end date was never announced, but it is for the beginning stages of Star Wars Land. So no F!, Mark Twain, canoes, the island, etc..

I was just wondering about this I talked up so much about Fantasmic! now they wont be showing it. We're going July 2016, hope they make up something....:(

I know it's not Fantasmic, but the new Paint the Night parade and fireworks show are truly amazing. If you haven't seen them yet, you will love them. And it is fun to watch the fireworks from different areas. The hub and Main St. were our favorites. So at least DL does have some great evening shows that will soften the blow of missing Fantasmic.

As the PP said, they're likely going to present Disneyland Forever (fireworks) and Paint the Night on a nightly basis in July, so you'll be able to watch those two evening offerings (along with WoC over in DCA). The biggest question (at this point) is what will PtN's schedule be during the non-peak season (nightly or only on weekends). So far it's been nightly, but it'll be interesting to see what happens during the winter months.

Nice to hear about PtN. I never heard of it, the one and only time I've been to DL was back in 2003! Is there a dining package attached to seating for this? I'll be in an ECV and with an Autistic 5yo, there will be 4 of us and I would like to stay together. I'd pay for a dining option if available or FP?

There is no dining package or FP for PTN. There are handicap viewing sections. You can ask about them at any kiosk in the park!
