After all your help...I made the reservation!

Hey folk's..as ya'll probably know from my last thread...

I was looking for your help on where I should stay. Well I decided to go with "The Grand Floridian"but wait, dont get excited yet...I got the disney home page this morning and logged in and selected my "saved offers". I found my saved offer for the Grand Floridian. I clicked submit and I got that awful message "There is no reservations available at the resort you have picked. Please try to change your days or choose another resort" Something in the lines of that. I was so mad. I waited one day to long. I had my resort picked out and was all set. Oh well I cant blame anyone but myself. Anyway I decided to go with "The Wilderness Lodge - Courtyard View". I thought long and hard and decided it was best to fit what I was looking for. My reasoning in case ya'll wondered is:

Grand Floridian - No reservations

Animal Kingdom - I did not want to get stuck in a room near construction, and as I stated before I am already staying at CBR and they are doing construction on their main pool. I just didnt want to risk it.

Yacht Club - The price was more expensive than the GF and I see the GF is the motherload of resorts that Disney has to offer. So why spend more on the Yacht Club? I guess the "water view" will up the price anywhere you go. Plus we are already doing the water thing already. Although I still would like to stay there one day...

As for the WL. I just love the theming I have seen from the photos and the courtyard view looks pretty at night. So thats that

Very good, glad you were able to book something you wanted if GF wasn't available.

We are booked at the Poly because of the convience of the monorail...but we would save alot to go to WL and it looks beautiful.....
I have 4 kids so the monorail works..but WL looks nice too! LOL

Congratulations glad you got your 2nd pick! Perhaps you know this but you can call reservations and put in a request for a particular room view. If you also mention what the occasion is it might increase your chances of getting a particular view if there is something in particular you would like since requests are not guaranteed. My favorite is high floor with Bay Lake View but we've also had a very nice one that was further down the south wing, high floor that had both a main pool view and a bay lake view. The Bay Lake View is a longer walk from the elevators than a lot of other courtyard views but there are stairs at the end of the wings that you can use for very quick access to the pool and beach area as well as the quiet pool and hot tub.

Oh - and I think you said your GF has horses? You might check out the carriage rides between FW and WL. I've never done it to tell you exactly what it is but she might like that. We have 5 horses and I know I would.

Good choice.....the WL is a beautiful resort We've stayed there twice and are going back for our third stay in December Have a great trip
