After all that not staying at the YC ;-(

My TA at yourmagicaljourneys. com could not get the one night in the middle of our stay. We are going for the marathon and all the standard rooms are unavailable for January 8th - right in the middle of our stay. She could get the 3 nights before and the 4 after. We don't want to switch resorts during our 8 day stay.

We have now booked the AKL for trip and hope that we won't have to wait long for buses to the parks. We will have car as well. I really like the decor of the rooms, so maybe this is all for a reason. Plus, we have saved $100 a night.

If you really want YC, I wouldn't give up yet. Often things seem to open up. At the YC, rooms may be blocked for potential convention business. I'd just have your TA try again closer to the date.

You will enjoy the AKL. The lodge itself is incredible as are the restaurants there. IMO, the AKL bus service is one of the best in WDW. We found the waits to be minimal. Enjoy!
