Morning everyone! Hope y'all had a wonderful Easter and have had a pleasant start to the week. This is how my morning started:

I woke up this morning and in my groggy state I looked at the countdown calendar. I thought "45 days. That's nice." I continued to make my breakfast and poured myself some coffee. As I drank the nice warm, slightly sweetened and lightly creamed awake inducing beverage, it hit me:

THERE'S ONLY 45 DAYS TILL DISNEY!!!!​

I have so much to do! Most of all I need to make a list of: things to do/buy/make/stress over/eat/ride/pack. I've been slacking in my Disney planning and it just can't happen anymore. Time to get serious! 45 days! I think I'm going to need a lot of coffee in the coming days...

That's going to have to wait just a bit though. We're getting ready to go to Dollywood today. Our first trip there this year. So after we get back from there, I'll be back with some more Disney plans and maybe a couple of lists. 45 days. It snuck up on me. But I'm ready for the challenge. Let's do this!

Day # 4 - A Castle and Some Seafood
First, I get to walk down Main Street in the morning. It’s one of the things I visualize when I’m stressed out and need to find a happy place. I absolutely love, love, love the first morning walk down Main Street! The way the street glistens from the street being washed, how the stores look in the morning sun, the smell of the goodies coming from the Main Street Bakery beckoning you to come in and try a morning pastry, the excitement of everyone walking to their first ride of choice, and the way the stores frame the castle as you walk closer and closer toward the blue and gray symbol of all that is happy and wonderful.

This! You captured perfectly that first walk down Main Street feeling!

I didn't get wet since I didn't ride it, but the kids convinced Mike to ride it two times. They were drenched! When we saw it I said "There's Beaver Battle." Took a couple pics of the beavers too. I'll post those later.

WOW! How'd I get three updates behind? Now I'm caught up!

First off--YAY! I guessed the bunny coloring contest correctly!

Second--LOVE both nights--EE and your Mexico night. Looks like y'al had fun posing it up with your mustaches and hats!

Third--YAY for 45 days! Mine comes Thursday!

Today we had a fabulous time at Dollywood. I am worn out!!! I think the sun got to me. During the opening months Dollywood has a “Festival of Nations.” Acts from different countries perform there. So as we walked around Dollywood it was kind of like walking around World Showcase.

We went on many rides but the one I took a ton of pics is called River Battle. Which I can never remember the name of. Thanks to PixieMama (Shannon) I will always have a name to remember. It has lots of beaver figures in it so it might as well be called Beaver Battle. So here’s some pics of the ride sign and the beavers:

Then there’s the actual ride. You sit in a “log” and crank a wheel on a cannon that shoots water at people watching the ride. The catch? The people watching can also shoot water at you. So the people on the ride get soaked. Here’s a couple pics of Mike and the kids on the ride (the kids always convince Mike to take them on it):

After Beaver Battle, we headed over to Miss Lillian’s Chicken House for dinner. This is such a fun place to eat. There’s a lady who dresses in a country dress and has chicken accessories (earings, ring, etc.) She goes around singing to the different tables and makes up songs on the spot. She wears a microphone so everyone in the restaurant can hear her. She gives every child a penny to make a wish outside in her wishing well. The kids call her the crazy chicken lady. It’s an all you can eat place and the food is really good. Here’s a pic of my plate:

To end our trip, we went on the Rockin’ Roadway. It’s fun to watch the kids try to drive. Notice the concentration on Alex’s face:

It was a fun day! I even got a good start on some of my Disney lists while we were driving to Dollywood. Woohoo!

Dollywood looks like fun!!

Wow, they really got wet! I don't suppose you were doing any of the shooting at them?

I am up to my ears in lists right now...I have so many, that I need to make a list of all my lists.

I am really hoping that we have great weather on our trip. Not too hot, not too humid and no rain. (I am not asking for much.. )

Glad y'all had a fun day. I may have mentioned this, but we thought about renewing our APs for Dollywood this year, but decided against it. With all the other things we have planned to spend money on (beach trip this summer, WDW in October, rip out the carpet and install hardwood floors sometime...) we thought we'd better hold off. Maybe we can manage a day-trip over the summer, though!
