Bit of a pointless post ...

We dreamt of this trip yrs before, we've saved for two years to pay for it, I've planned each and every aspect of it..... And it's just hit home- we've less than 2 weeks to go!!! It's almost time!! I can start to sort the holiday packing! 2 weeks today and we'll wake up to our first theme park day :)

I just can't wait to see my 2 children's faces and that of my niece and nephews

15th march can't come soon enough...happy holidays to all those travelling soon and happy planning to those who have a little longer to wait

:)

Not a pointless thread at all.

We normally go in March but it's May this year. The beauty of march is you can pack earlier *** lets face it you don't need shorts here at the moment !!!

Enjoy every moment

Definitely not a pointless thread, this is exciting stuff for you

This is how we started off.
We saved for 3 years for a "once in a lifetime" holiday and have been back 3 times since :rotfl: every-time saving so hard for a couple of years at a time and finding all the best deals (thanks to every-one on here :).

Have a fantastic time :)

I'm with the others: nothing pointless about your thread at all!

On our first visit, the look on my daughter's face as we arrived at MK, late at night and entered just as the parade came by right in front of us .... priceless! If there is one thing I will never forget, that is it.

......And how she tried to grab the 3D instruments 'flying' towards her watching Philharmagic; or the starstruck look in her eyes as she looked at Chip and Dale (first characters she met) at Epcot as she stared at them almost as if she expected to blink and they would be gone; or the reflection of the fireworks in her eyes as she watched Wishes for the first time ..... As you experience things for the first time, without saying anything to distract them, glance at your children every now and then and watch their expressions.

These were the moments when I thought: "NOW I know that this was worth every penny."

Have a fantastic time, I know you will, those faces, moments are never forgotten and worth every penny saved up.

Oh how I LOVE this thread. It makes me so happy to hear others so excited for their trip. You will ave a fantastic time!!! Like a pp said, we saved for our once in a lifetime trip and have actually gone twice already! Now we're dreaming of a cruise or ABD. And yes, it takes us years to save too! It's all just so magical and fun and perfect for families. Enjoy your together time and creating amazing memories together!

Heyyy!! We fly out on the 16th :D  Im ridiculously excited! I just picked up my customised Disney shoes! This is our Honeymoon and I cant wait! xx

hope you have a great time I've just started to plan might going in July 2015 for my 40th Birthday bit different from last time I went when I was 13.

Your kids will love you forever for it and make you go with them when they go back like I'm doing with my parents.

Ah what a lovely thread :goodvibes

You will have an amazing time and like others have said, just take the time to stop and soak up their little expressions and faces now and again. It is magical, truly magical princess:.

I am yet to visit WDW (next year will be our 'once in a lifetime' trip!), but been to DLP a few times with my children and honestly the memories I have are just priceless. Such lovely family times pixiedust:.

ENJOY and be sure to come back and let us know what a fabulous time you had popcorn::.

You will have an amazing time. The memories you create will be priceless.....I went to WDW for the first time as a kid and can remember being awestruck. 15 years later my fiancée went for the first time, as an adult. She reminded me of myself as a kid! Her face as she walked into MK....happy memories! We have been again since and plan to go again and again!

Just want to echo the other posters and say that this is definitely not a pointless thread! Enjoy your trip and cherish the memories you make. :thumbsup2

Lovely stories. DH (back then he was DF) took me for the first time in 2010 and I remember people at work telling me how wonderful it is seeing things for the first time, I thought I understood what they were talking about. How wrong was I? Lol. Nothing can really describe the feeling I felt as I saw the Castle for the first time. Amazing. :cloud9:

Awww, with the others on this, definitely not a pointless thread!

How exciting! I hope you have an amazing time!

I'm very jealous, only another 36 weeks for me! :rotfl2:

We have been talking about going back since our honeymoon in 2008. then we had DS in 2010. We took him to DLP in 2012 and since then have been planning and saving for 'the big one' in 2014! We will have saved so much money to pay for it and will be coming back to a small amount in the savings account, but what the heck! You can't take it with you, and DS only has a few years left of being at the wonderful young age. So to us it's definitely worth every penny!

It took 3 years to save for our first trip. I remember sitting on the Magical Express and fighting back the tears as I couldn't believe we were finally there. I treasure every memory of my girls' experiences and we are looking forward to returning in Aug 2015.princess:

That made me smile. For me it didn't fully hit home until we got onto our first Disney bus on arrival afternoon. As I heard the "Welcome aboard" message I said out loud "I DID IT!" DD just looked at me sternly and said "What have you done?" :rotfl:
