We have been in this since 1992, and while we are not looking to sell -- and probably never will --- our usage has changed. Our daughter was 5 when we bought in, now she is 29 and our son is 21. The are still Disneyholics, and in fact went on their own to WDW last week. We go for fewer days, but with more people and in bigger units. We will have 6 in a VB Beach cottage in August. When the kids were young, it was all about quantity -- as many days in a studio as we could stand. Now not as much.
Next year, its 7 of us to Disneyland and the Grand Californian. Some day, to Aulani. We could sell for probably 150% of what we bought it for, but we won't. If I get tired of paying the dues, I'll rent some points to cover it and use the rest.
For those that want to sell, its a good thing that DVC has held its value, or increased in value. Makes the sell decision a bit easier.
