AFO and Sandals

First of all- thanks for all the information that I have gotten lately on this specific board. You guys rock!

Since my back surgery 17 days ago, I have drop foot and have to wear an AFO. We are going to WDW and do a Disney cruise in a week. I am looking for sandals that I can wear with my AFO. The sandals have to have a removeable insole. Any suggestions?

DS has AFO's also and I have had great luck with sandals from land's end. you can get them at Sears. They are not full-out strappy sandals, more like a trekker but he finds them very comfortable. I have to buy 1-1 1/2 sizes up but the insert removes easily and leaves plenty of room. they are width adjustable with a bungee type drawstring, and have a velcro adjustment at the heel, and he finds them very comfy. Don't know if you are a guy or a gal, but there are similar styles for both. Good luck

You might also try the ones by Keen (department or sporting goods stores will have them). They are also a trekker style, with a covered toe and a back strap and then a bungee. The insole pulls out on the ones I have.
