Aflac

My husband has it through his work, he has the 24 hour accident policy and short term disability. He was injured on the job in January and has received several reimbursment checks form AFLAC...there is no coordination of benefits so they pay even if you have other insurance. They also will send you money for well visits to the doctor, dental check ups, etc.

They are very easy to work with and getting our checks has been hassle free!

We have had AFLAC now for about 2 years. With three children who are involved in sports, and our youngest who is the most accident prone child we've definitely found it to be worth it for us. We have the Accident/Injury and also the Cancer policy.

Filing claims are easy. Checks back in 3-5 days. Of course, it also helps that we have an AWESOME agent. I was having trouble with a Dr giving me a report and she drove to the Dr's office and waited until I gave her a confirmation over the phone that I had received it by fax before she left the Dr.

Do you have it? Is it worth it? What sorts of plans?

YES :goodvibes

(my son-in-law sells it)

everyone should have the cancer policy. pays a nice benefit when it is diagnosed, also pays towards hotel stays if you have to travel for treatment. you get a $125 yearly paid benefit for a wellness checkup (blood tests, mamogram etc)

most policys are in force within a month or so, the dental plan, you have to wait a while though.

they have so many plans, cancer, illness, dental, accident, disability, etc.
you do not have to be employed by a company to get covered, but it is cheaper if you do.
