Maybe this is not the right forum - please redirect if appropriate!

At the end of our next WDW vacation - Christmas 2003 - we'd like to spend 4 to 6 days in a beachfront condo. Last trip, we stayed in a great place in New Smyrna Beach - but the weather was too cold in late December! What we'd like is an affordable beach front condo in a more southerly location, either east or west coast (but not around Miami).

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

Bumping this up - surely someone has an opinion??

(Or is it that there are no affordable beachfront condos??)

Yes, there are affordable beach condos. .

DD and I stayed in a condo in the Destin, Fl area in April. Loved it! This is the panhandle area tho. $149 nitely for a large l br condo, pullout couch, kitchen. This wasn't directly on the beach, but very close. This was spring break rates.

The condo was owned by Vacation Resorts INt. and they have condos all over Fl. Some can be rented by the day; some by the week only.

So here is the website and good luck.

I would consider the Fort Meyers, Longboat Beach, Siesta Key area on the Gulf side. . I have never been to this area of Fl, but hope to someday.
