My husband and I will be traveling to WDW with our 1 year old son in February. Does anyone recommend an affordable stroller that would be accomadating to a 1 year old for naps while we are at the park? He loves the "big" Graco stroller we have at home, but we need something smaller that would be great on space. We will be traveling by vehicle quite a distance. Any thoughts?? Thanks!

I strongly recommend the Maclaren Umbrella strollers. I bought one off ebay for less than $50. It was a used Maclaren Techno XT. Lightweight umbrella stroller than folds up small. It also reclines all the way back.Rolls like a dream even with my 6 yr old on board. Good Luck !

Thanks so much! I didn't even think of looking on Ebay... I've seen other recommendations on here, but they are a little higher priced than what I would like to pay. I will look into this brand!! Thanks again!!:yay:

I agree about Maclaren, as soon as my kids were big enough to come out of their big Graco travel system stroller - they went right into a Maclaren. We have a Maclaren triumph and just bought a Maclaren twin triumph off craigslist (almost new) for our trip to Disney, as our just turned 4 year old will need a seat too by the end of the day after all the park walking, and our youngest is 1. I can't say enough good things about them, check ebay and craigslist :-)

I just bought a First Years Ignite for 58.99 on Amazon. I loooooooooove it. Is small like an umbrella stroller, but reclines, has a sunshade, and even a great cup holder and zipper compartment. My two year old is VERY comfortable in it and it is the only stroller I currently have that she cannot escape! Lol!

Hi! We have 3 boys and have tried a variety of strollers.

IMHO-the best stroller for the $ are the Baby Trend brand strollers at Babies R Us. We have a Baby Trend stroller-light weight-tall enough for an adult to push, manuevers easily, has a shade, lays back, has a tray, folds up/opens up very easily, cup holders, nice and comfy, etc. - we bought this for $35 at Babies R Us. Now this may be a little more pricey now, ours is about 3 years old.

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3994452, this is listed online at $55.

This is the one I just saw on their website-Baby R Us TrendSport Stroller - Nile. It's a least worth checking out if you have a Babies or Toys R Us store close to you.

Have a great trip!

I had a Combi for DS and really, really loved it! Quick fold, nice canopy, small storage basket, front bar. :thumbsup2

We adore the Baby Jogger City Micro, also the City Mini (slightly heavier, but more features). Fastest folding stroller to be found, and you can do it with one hand!:cool1:

We have a Combi Flare stroller, it stinks. I love everything but pusing it :rotfl: No seriously, super comfy for baby, easy fold, very compact, very light. But the wheels stink big time. It is difficult to manuver with smallish DD in it, and completly impossible to maneuver with one hand. And don't even bother trying "off roading". I am looking into getting a new stroller, hearing a lot of good things about the city mini jogger, but they are a bit more pricey.

We liked the combi larger umbrella stoller for travel.

A great place to look (chaeper than ebay lots of time because of no shipping) is craigs list.

We just sold out 2 strollers on it.

I'm not sure about the Flare, we have the Cosmo (I think that's what it's called), and have always loved it. I do have a Baby Jogger and a Mac and love them both, but the Combi is less expensive, and IMO and great stroller. :thumbsup2

I love my Maclaren. It is wonderful and has a higher weight limit so it may last you an extra year or two. I have seen them really reasonable at Big Lots and Essex. They are usually new in box or store displays. Last year I found a store display at Babies R Us really cheap. Luckily it was also while they were doing their trade in event and I was able to trade in my old stroller and get a discount off the already discounted Maclaren! I think I saw that they are doing the trade in event again, it might be worth it to check out.
