Aerial Topper Thieves!!

We're all so angry in my house right now - my dad's Grumpy got stolen last week and my mum's Tinkerbell got stolen today from the their aerials!
We think it's happening when my mum parks the car outside the nursery where she works
The crazy thing is that my dad actually glued Grumpy to the aerial when he bought him last Summer, because someone had stolen one off his car before, so this thief actually went to the trouble of prying poor Grumpy off

Has anybody else experienced something like this in their area?
It's so annoying, I loved Tink! Ha

I had my WDW Minnie taken from my car which I was not happy about I know they sold them briefly in the Disney Store a while ago, I wish they'd bring them back !!

Does make you think about the thief and are they driving round with them on their cars or was it kids doing it for some sort of warped fun ?!!!

It is so annoying I lost my Stitch aerial topper in a shopping centre in Coventry

It's so annoying isn't it!

We used to have the normal black Mickey one, but when we went the second and third times, we bought the ones which were more exclusive to the parks, like the Cinderellabration one and the Test Track one. So last year, my parents got the two character ones and they've been on their cars since September and now they've suddenly gone within a week of each other!

My mum was keeping an eye out when we were driving home today, for someone with a Grumpy or Tink on their car

I had a Mickey stolen, luckily I had a replacement which I superglued on. Then last year I bought a new car and part exed the one with the superglued Mickey still on it I couldn't get it off. I did tell the car dealer my old car should have been worth more with the Mickey head on it

My wife had her pink fairy topper nicked a couple of years ago, never seen her so angry

i had my plain black mickey nicked last year, so when i got a new one i covered it in grease after i put it on(just looked shiny...and was rainproof )

STILL got nicked!!!

what shall i put on it this year to distract the thieves?!?!

It would be utterly unacceptable to stick needles through it but you know I'm just kinda putting it out there as a wee suggestion

My DH & I have both had our's pinched!!, so we don't bother replacing them now as I'm sure someone is waiting to pounce

We've never had toppers for this reason, but one of our neighbours had their Mickey topper stolen

I've had ariel toppers stolen before but i came up with a solution. I brought a reindeer topper from Tesco last year and that came with a spring so now i just put the spring on the dashboard and put the ariel topper on that. Good solution because you can see it more and doesn't get stolen.

Never mind aerial toppers, they actually pinch aerials around here! I've had two taken over the last couple of months, it's a joke.

I now take off my aerial each night for fear of having to pay out another £20 when I need a new one from Toyota. I did try a cheap one from Halfords - and they took that too!!

Quite annoying - I sympathise with you all.

Slightly OT but i have one of the red noses on the front of my car....im waiting for that to go !
