How mean can people get, I went out to my car this morning and someone has stolen my minnie mouse aerial topper, im not happy, not happy at all. :

Cant believe people can be so rotten.
Can they be bought in UK ? Maybe there are internet sites to get a new one.

Super glue it on next time !!!!

Awwwwwwww how nasty :( I go out in a few weeks, so if you would like me to pick you one up, just let me know :)

I bought myself a lovely new minnie mouse ariel topper last year and within a week of returning home it had been stolen (whilst parked in a swimming pool carpark). This year youngest DS bought me a gold glittery mickey - with happiest celebration on earth on it - I take it down when parking the car - its a pain but he would be so upset if I lost it. Some people can be so mean can't they!!

Really sorry to hear about your Minnie topper, Lisa. An American friend bought me a Mickey one with a Santa hat on it and I am too paranoid to put it on the car.

Hope you can get a new one. :grouphug:

I got my Union Jack Mickie nicked from the top of my car in Sheffield. Not sure whether that is because it was Sheffield or that it was a nice union Jack topper!

My current car doesn't have an ariel though :-(

Terrible. Can you not make it an excuse to go back to Orlando for a shopping trip for one?

We are actually going back to WDW in January so not too long to wait to get another, think I will put some cotton round her this time and hang her from my inside mirror rather than on the aerial.

Good. The nerve of some people though.

my daughter has a mickey (with the sorcerer's hat) on her car aerial...
she's had it there for about 2 years....i was sure it would be stolen, but surprisingly it's still there.....maybe because the aerial's on her car is on top and hard to reach.....

I had a dream at the weekend that mine had been stolen! when I woke up I ran out to check but it was still there. I had a plain black mickey for years that no-one nicked but I now have a lovely pink love-hearty one that I'm sure someone will take a fancy to sooner or later! (although my boyfriend's son maintains that no-one would be "sad enough" to want it!) I love aerial toppers but I hardly see anyone else in my area with one.

I leave tomorrow, if you would like me to pick one up for you I would be happy to.

I can't get my cool mickey one on the aerial :guilty:

Our first day at WDW was 4th July so we went to Epcot and at the UK pavillion I spotted Scotland and Wales flag toppers. Being our first day and not too sure of everything I stupidly didn't buy them then.

Of course I never saw them anywhere else after that so made a special dash on our last evening to go and buy a few to bring back as gifts. None to be seen on the cart so I went into the shop and asked there. Spoke to a lovely girl from Scotland who went to check with someone else who emphatically told me there was no such thing. I persisted and said, yes this is where I saw them etc eventually telling her that it was on 4th July and why would I come back looking for them if they didn't exist??

She told me she did the ordering etc and that there was no such thing and never had been. She sort of shrugged her shoulders saying well if you saw them there is none now but actually there never was! On speaking to the Scottish girl again later I found out that the girl had in fact been off on 4 July but they had been at Epcot off duty to see the fireworks. I ended up feeling quite annoyed with her attitude to me and found it surprising as all of the staff members in Epcot are so pleasant to talk to and do seem to enjoy talking about their countries and meeting people from other countries.

So the moral is, if you see something buy it then and don't wait :o

My aerial toppers keep going walkies too:(.

While we were out this time (August) bought a pack at Downtown which has - amongst others - harvest mickey, so I am going to put that on tomorrow - and the car is getting parked on the driveway and gates closed as when I leave it on the road something happens. Although I am quite tempted by Lisa's suggestion to hang it with cotton from the mirror, will have to try this out!

dh and i have had 3 stolen our first was a plain black mickey, then it was a union jack, the third one, a sorcerer mickey didnt even last 2 hours...so in march when we went to wdw we decided to stock up and bought 6, sods law though we put the animal kingdom one on the car....AND ITS STILL THERE! :earseek: so now we have 5 in the house doing nothing.

It not only happens over here. I was over with our Canadian friends and they have a topper on their car aerial. I told them if that was in the UK it would have been stolen by now. They told me this was their third, and the second one they had stolen was taken by a Canadian "chav" as they reversed out of a parking slot at a shopping mall!! :earseek:
