Advise needed from a loveable Ursula sized woman

Oh yes, my son (age 13) fell the first time getting out of Space Mountain. The next couple of times I always just quietly reminded him to take his time getting out. It can be a bit of a tricky maneuver no matter your size. Take it slow and know you are not alone!

On our last trip I was afraid I wasn't going to fit in SDMT (and it was not comfortable to ride) -- At the time I was 5'5, 235, size 20/22 and I carry my weight in my hips/thighs. It sounds like people who are larger than that have been able to go on, but after my experience I could see where it would be extremely uncomfortable. I do know someone who was not able to ride (was turned away at the point of loading) - but I think it was more because of height than weight (he's like 6'7").

I am 5'11' & average weight in good health & I am slow to disembark on SM too!! I can pop in ok, but for whatever reason I can not get out without some thought & usually just about falling out of the car on to the platform. It makes me feel better though cause I see many other folks doing the same thing so I am not the only uncoordinated klutzy one!

As for the Mine Train I think only little kids are comfortable. It's hard molded plastic seats with no give. I swear would a couple extra inches really have been impossible to add? But for a few minutes it's fine.
I decided they tested the dumb cars using the dwarfs they were building for the ride!

I didn't even think about haunted mansion being hard to close (I guess I was concentrating on the wide seats, lol)!!!! Awww I really want to ride that one! So kind of suck in, half way stand, pull the bar closed and squeeze under it the best i can i guess...

I'm pretty much a "small" person, but DH has developed a pot belly over recent years. The last two trips to Disney (we were AP holders and FL residents for 5 years) he was a little uncomfortable with lap bars like Thunder Mountain. We didn't do Sum of all, etc. and I think getting into and out of the People Mover cars could be a bit of a squeeze since the door opening is quite narrow. It would seem that things like Haunted Mansion would be just fine. And he had difficulty buckling his seat belt on Test Track and I had to buckle for him. We had no problem with Soarin' because of where the belt fits. I'm sure there's plenty of attractions you can have fun with. Enjoy your trip!!

Do not pull down on the safety bar, please. I will lower it for you.

OP, I am almost the same size and weight but 62 hips/lower belly. I can ride everything I have tried. But haven't tried Kali Rapids cause I heard I wouldn't fit or Sum of all thrill cause I know I won't fit. But I haven't had problems with anything. Seatbelt all the way out first before sitting and if it's a theater seat sit on edge and slide back. Also watch your knees on Dinosaur, I knocked the fool out of one of mine getting in.

I don't know if it was mentioned but getting up from the go carts was rather embarrassing too, I had to crawl over and up and literally crawled on hands and knees out. I asked my niece "did anyone see that???" And she looked at the few hundred people around and said "nope, not anyone you will see again."

Do you mind if I ask which thrill rides you'd stay away from at that size? I am the same size as well, first time going. do all of the thrill rides have a tester outside to see if you'll fit? I'm so nervous :( :(

SDMT is ridiculous. I am petite, and I was uncomfortable on the ride. On my second ride, I didn't pull the bar down as far, and it was much better. I think it's probably the worst-designed coaster seat I've ever seen.

SDMT is not friendly for my size. It was more squishing my legs together to get the bar down. I was quite surprised how bad it was. I remember some people both ahead and behind me and I wondered to myself after if they made it on and how uncomfortable they were. This is the only ride I have had any issues with.
