Hi Neo,
Yes it is the same type of boat on both the cruises although there are a couple of speciality boats that are available to book for some extra $$$$$
We have shared a few fireworks cruises, both Wishes and Illuminations and I can't ever remember a time when we have felt disappointed at our lack of having a decent view. Both our party and those that we have shared with have always managed to sort out a sensible seating plan between us whereby everyone gets a good view. I also try to take a lot of pictures when we do these, especially with the Illuminations cruise as it's such a good view
They are all well worth the money IMO and I would happily keep doing them again and again.
