Hi! We've been DVC members for just over a year now and will be taking our first DVC funded holiday from October 25 this year. I am looking for options to make the stay that extra bit exciting although I know that will be VERY difficult! Our itinerary is as follows; 3 nights at BWV, 4 nights at VB, 3 nights on the DCL, 3 nights at AKL and finaly 3 nights at WLV. We are flying in to Sanford and will be picking up a hire car at the airport (pre-booked). I know there are options like the Fireworks cruises etc which aren't widely advertised but I'd be interested to hear what extra things you may have done that made it so so magical for you! Hopefully our daughter Emily Alicia will be taking in a lot more of her environment by then.

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

My suggestion for making it special for someone that young is to go with the flow. The last time my family was at DisneyWorld, my daughter was 1 1/2 and my son was 5. We would try to do what they wanted to do without doing too much. Take the time to enjoy whatever they're having fun doing. We spent quite a bit of time in places like Ariel's Grotto and in the kid's area of the water parks, specifically Typhoon Lagoon.

Although my daughter enjoyed some of the rides like Dumbo and the carousel, I think that she had the most fun playing in these areas specifically designed for kids.

We also took a rest time/nap time every afternoon just after lunch. This way she was not too overwhelmed and she had more energy to do things in the afternoon and evening.

So, try not to rush. Take the time to enjoy what your daughter is enjoying. You may not see or do as much, but everyone will enjoy it more.

Good luck.

When we were there with our one year old 7 years ago she loved Epcot. The rides were slow and visually exciting. But she was a calm baby so that also helped.
Just take lots of naps. Have Fun.

Sounds like a great itinerary. The cruise will be the highlight of your trip, it is amazing. Do not miss breakfast at Chef Mickey at the Contemporary.

We are also taking out first holiday (vacation) with the Club this year and have pretty much stayed in the same locations as you. Have you tried the Character Breakfast at the Grand Floridian then onto the boats in the Lagoon. Fantasmic is great and dining at the Brown Derby beforehand makes it that much easier, my 6 month old loved it last year. I too am looking for something that bit more this year and look forward to your replies - have a great time.

P.S. I hope Preston don't make the play off's , brother-in-law plays for them and we will have to listen him all holiday long.
