Hi,
Well after our once in a lifetime trip last year we are desperate to go back. We are however pretty much tied to school holidays as my eldest DD starts her exam classes after the summer. I was thinking about Easter time next year. Easter is really late and when looking at Spring Break dates, most Spring Breaks are over by the beginning of April. So do you think there will be a lull in the crowds if we were to go the beginning of April and left the week before the Easter weekend. I know the week before Easter will be busy but what about from the 1st - 14th April? Easter is not until the 20th I think?? I know it's hard to judge but how do people think a very late Easter would affect the crowds?
Thanks in Advance
Rach

I think it's really hard to answer that, I wondered the same! There is a thread on the boards that lists all the dates of spring break throughout America and some do crossover with our Easter. It might be worth having a look at the dates.

The title of the thread is, when is your spring break 2014? I can't copy the link on my phone.

Thanks for that, I found it. Look like it will be busy right through really, not what I hoped to see!! After first trip in October I think it's spoiled us!!

October/November is my favourite time to visit too, perfect crowds & weather!!

Count me among the fortunate who've been able to traditionally do Disney in October. That being said, I have been on adults-only trips in March and April some years back, in the weeks leading up to Easter. At those times, park crowds were not terribly awful, even with Spring Breakers [who were more of an issue at the resort where we stayed - what with drinking, carousing, and objectionable language around children at the pools]. I've now registered back up on this site as my next trip - this time with small children - will BEGIN the weekend of Easter...Hence my attention to this thread.

Because it contains what I've found to be very valuable (and rather accurate) information/prognostications, I'm a years'-long, paid subscriber to Touringplans.com. Being an anal planner and maker of Advance Dining Reservations, I use the crowd forecasts to lay-out itineraries, down to the day. Out of curiosity on your behalf, I've just checked the forecasts for the time period you specified. While crowd forecasts for specific dates between the 1st and 14th were all over the map (between a 1.4 to 9.8), they looked good in your favor, overall.

It appears that - historically and forecast-wise - park crowds become "problematic" (10s) in the week leading up to Easter, and for the three days following Easter Sunday (April 20th, 2014).

I'd recommend subscribing to Touringplans.com (and buy the guide as part of a discounted package) to have a look for yourself. I've found it a great resource...and only WISH I was a paid spokesperson!

Good luck! Have a wonderful trip!
