We are planning a trip for the week of 3/6/04 or 3/13/04 depending on when spring break falls for our school next year. We are on a March use year for OKW but we prefer to stay at BWV. I know I can only reserve 7 months out. My question is will I have trouble getting a ressie at that time of year? Do I need to do the "call every day" thing? We've always taken the easy route and traveled during months when we don't have to worry about such things. Unfortunately, reality is setting in as the kids get older and it is harder to pull them out of school. Is March a terribly busy time to go....I hate lines....lol.

Thanks for your comments

March is very popular and busy -- it is prime season at WDW and all of Florida.

Of course with reservations, you never know until you call. I would call the first day of availability and ask how things look. You can then decide whether you need to continue calling day-by-day. You'll also have time for the wait list to work some magic. I would have OKW as your back-up and then see what happens. Chances are it will work out.

We were at OKW from February 22nd until March 11th this year. OKW was fully booked the first week, but the final week and a half it was noticeably less busy.

So many factors enter into the equation that time of year...college spring break probably being one of the biggest. This year the possible Iraq war played a large part.

Pam's advice to have an OKW reservation as backup is a given. Although I have never called day-by-day, it may be advisable in your case. If you have to cancel your OKW reservation day-by-day to make points available for your BWV stay, be aware that you may end up having to move during your stay if, say, the forth day is not available at BWV.
