Okay...I know I'm probably inviting flames, but I need your advice!
After waiting for AP codes to no avail, I took everyone's advice and booked ressies for our June/July trip at AAA rates (that we could afford!) for a split stay between POR:RS and AKL.
Although I'm sure POR:RS is great, we'd really hoped to upgrade to a split stay between WL and AKL (in any order) if codes are released. With each day that goes by, I get more and more worried that they won't have any rooms left at the resorts that we'd like.
I know that you are allowed to hold more than one reservation at a time, and can then apply AP codes when and if they become available (or cancel if they don't.) I hadn't reserved the whole stay in our ~*ideal*~ resorts because I'd heard people say that if the Gods of Disney see that rooms are being booked at rack rates, they'll be less likely to release AP codes at all.
BUT...now I'm getting really worried that if I don't hold the rooms we'd like, and the AP codes are released when I'm not able to get to a computer or phone right away, we'll miss out on our ~*ideal*~ stay because I hadn't held them.
I want to be fair to everyone and not mess up the system by holding double ressies, as I know it annoys some people, but how do I weigh that against doing what's right for us for what will be our last trip for years?!

Any advice?
