Hi
Can anyone offer me any advice at all, we have been to WDW a few times now and are going again next year but i am thinking well ahead now and thinking about going to DLP for christmas 2007, i know it's a long way off but i would like the whole of my family to go so would need to let them know about it well in advance as some of them would need time to save.
So a few questions,
What's the best way to get there?
Where's the best place to stay onsite or offsite?
Do we need to hire a car?
Who's good to book it with? (normally do Virgin for Florida so don't know where to even start looking.)
I know prices won't be out yet but just wanted look at some hotels and some tips please.
Many thanks in advance.

Where are you coming from, what else besides disney do you want to do, how many days?

Best place to stay is at one of the onsite hotels, then you are within walking distance of the parks. Next best are the preferred hotels, which are a 10 minute shuttle ride away. If you stay at any of these, and don't intend to visit anywhere other than DLP, then you won't need a car. The only exception to this is Davy Crockett Ranch where a car would be necessary.

Have a look at this map and virtual visit to get an idea of the different hotels. The top "clump" on the right is where the preferred hotels are situated. You can find information about them by clicking on the Hotels link on the left.

If you are happier booking the whole thing as a package, then have a look at Cresta, Bridge Travel, Leger (coach travel) etc. But if you can get flights with a budget airline, or a great deal with Eurostar, then it can work out cheaper to use that and book the hotel and passes direct with Disney. Have a look at this page, which you can find in the Useful Information sticky. :)

We live in Devon but can travel to London for travel no problems, was thinking about 6 days and probably just do Disney with a day in paris maybe unless any one has any other suggestions? :confused3
Thanks for the maps and sticky's will have a look at those now. :thumbsup2

From what I have read here on the DIS their are alot of packages if your coming from the UK. I would recommend staying onsite as well. Its a very peacful setting away from the hustle and bustle that is Paris, plus the train from DTD takes you right to where you want to be. Pay the extra couple of euro for the all day ticket though as its cheaper! I can not recommend driving in Paris, however once you have gotten off the train its easy to get a cab from place to place to place, eiffel tower to the louvre, louvre to the Arc de triumph etc for only a few euro, there is also a bus that your all day ticket allows you to ride as well. Make sure if you decide to go to a character dinner that you make reservations as well. there is a bus tour from Disney as well, but that you need to book in advance. Paris is beautiful at night all lit up, so consider an evenig on the town, but keeep in mind when the last train to the resort leaves as I know people that had to go the cab route to get back.
