So we, my daughter and I, are scheduled to go to WDW the end of January and staying at BWV on rented points. We just found out my husband will have to get major surgery the end of December and it will be a 6 week recovery. He is optimistic that he will be fine by the time we go but I'm worried we won't be able to go. I don't know a lot about trip insurance or even where to get it from. Will it even cover rented points? If anyone can give me any advice I would really appreciate it.

I think the problem now is that with the surgery scheduled, it would be considered a pre existing condition and most don’t cover cancelations for that, except if you spend the money on Cancel for Any Reason, which is expensive,

People have said they purchased it for rentals. If you went through a broker they should be able to help you.

Thanks. I'm so over this year. I just can't catch a break.

I purchased from allianz global assistance. They have pre-existing conditions insurance. VERY good experience. Even refunded when my trip was canceled by Carnival. No problem with refund. My boy has crohns, and we know that we don't stay in remission long. Bought a very fair-priced policy.
