I basically want to do O'hana's our 1st night, CRT if we can get it, and Chef Mickey's for breakfast, lunch or dinner on one of our days off.

My question I guess is are the characters at Chef Mickey's there for all the meals? I'd prefer Breakfast or lunch b/c it would be cheaper? Do they even do lunch?

TIA

Michele

I believe that Chef Mickey's serves breakfast and dinner only. I don't recall any lunch. The characters are there for both meals.
Suggest you check the menus/hours at allearsnet.com.

They are not open for lunch and would STRONGLY recommend breakfast over dinner. We have dined there twice for breakfast and have been pleased. Dined there last year for dinner and thought it was the worst meal on property.

The characters are Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale. Goofy is there at the front to take pics with.

I strongly agree -- dinner at Chef Mickeys was our worst meal in three trips.

Sorry, but I have to disagree - we have eaten at Chef Mickey's as our annual 1st night dinner for the last several years, and it is one of our favorites. My DD's ask to go back every year. The food has always been good, service fantastic, the character intervention is great (although, last year Minnie was missing, they said she was sick???). My DD has requested to eat here in March for her 13th b-day dinner.

We just had dinner at CM this December. This was one of our BEST meals. THe characters were: Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy & Donald greeting at the front. This is now going to be a tradition for us.

The great thing about WDW is how many different opinions the same thing can generate.

We just returned and had dinner at CM and it was wonderful. Great food and great character interaction.

Wow, that's 2 bad experiences and 3 good ones.

Now I'm stumped. :earseek:

I guess I'll have to toss a coin?

Thanks Everyone!!!!

You didn't say when you are going. If you are going later in 2005 the best character meal with Mickey, bar none, is Garden Grille in the Land. Unfortunately Garden Grille will be closed while they ready the Land for the opening of Soaring Over California.

I have never been to the Chef Mickey's Character breakfast, but usually the buffets at the character meals are pretty good. Please get your PS early though, because you can start 90 days ahead of time, and if you wait, you can guarantee you will not find a PS any later than 7 am. Dinner is also hard to get if you wait. We haven't been to Chef Mickey's for dinner since the year they moved it from DTD to the Contemporary. It was pretty good then but not spectacular. I think it is pretty much standard buffet fare, including a beef dish, a pasta dish, a chicken dish, etc.
