We have been to WDW several times but never in February. Easter and August park hours are long and crowds are big. I know park hours are much shorter and parks are less crowded but can somebody help me compare. What are the wait times like in February? We will be there from Sun Feb 13 to Wed Feb 16, I believe this is the week before Presidents Day.
Thanks
Tracy

Hi!

We went in Feb 2002 and had a great time. The only really busy day was on Saturday at MK. For the most part waits were 20 minutes for anything really popular, but others we walked onto.

Enjoy!

Weather was great 60's in the morning and right around lower 80's at the hottest. Shorts and longsleeve t shirts in the mornings and then took them off in the afternoon for short sleeve t shirts.

If that is the week before President's Day, you should be in great shape. Even though the park hours are shorter, crowds are very manageable (especially with Fastpass) and you should be able to do everything you want more than once.

The biggest thing I would tell you is take a few warm clothes. The picture in my post was taken this past February, and as you can tell, several of my crew are wearing WDW sweatshirts (not cheap, by the way!). We had a couple of days when we were there that the early morning temps were pretty cool. But all in all the weather is wonderful in February!:)

We have done the week before P-Day the last 2- years. It eerie sometimes because you seem to be the only people around. Crowds are small and most rides are walk-on's.

Most start arriving Friday before P-Day.

Thanks so much to you all. It will be great for us not to have to worry about large crowds:)

I was there for a week this last February, leaving the Friday before President's Day. The lines were great (or lack of lines, should I say). We would pull an occasional fastpass, but didn't need them all the time and it was more to go on a ride a second or third time (or 5th for Tower or Terror). We didn't really have to do the fastpasses.

We did notice a big difference in the days leading up to the weekend, mainly Friday, but you'll be gone by then.

Have a great time and bring a variety of clothes so you can dress for all weather.

I took my 80yo father the first week of last February. It was a little chilly but nice touring weather. I wore jeans or capris, never felt warm enough for shorts but I saw other folks wearing them. I even felt a little chilly wearing sandles, but my tennis shoes felt good. Take or plan on buying a zip up sweat shirt.

We didn't do any of the thrill rides, and we didn't spend much time at MK, but what we did ride we had no waits for. It was a wonderful time to go. As far as the parks closing earlier, just plan on dinner after parks close or head to DTD or Epcot in the evenings. We're starting to talk about going again this coming February.

We went in February this year and I found it a little cold on some days and I missed not having all those flowers in bloom. On some days I had a t-shirt, a sweater and a jacket and I was still a little chilly. (and I'm from Canada, ahaha! ;) We went on Feb 14th to the 21st, the the MK was packed!!!! Epcot was never that busy and MGM was somewhat reasonable. But perhaps because you're going a little earlier it'll be saner. All in all we still had a very pleasant trip but I think May would be a better month for us.
