Advice on driving to F&W 1/2

DH and I are signed up for the F&W 1/2 in November. We booked a stay at our home resort, BLT. The Contemporary is not a host resort for the run so I'm wondering how we'll get to the starting line and back "home". We will rent a car.

I'd like to drive but not sure where/when to report for the start.

I seriously thought about switching to a host resort like Saratoga Springs but unfortunately I messed up our reservation and booked a high-point 1 BR. villa using borrowed points and would have to use all my points this year and SSR takes FAR fewer points. Basically, I'd lose many points if I switched from BLT to SSR. Bottom line, I don't think switching resorts is in the cards for us so really hoping for a driving solution.

You can drive and park at Epcot and they have a shuttle to the start at WWoS

It's so great that we can park at Epcot so we can just stumble to the car, fall in and drive "home"!

If you want to avoid the car, you could simply ride the monorail to Epcot for the bus ride to the start. Then post race, walk back through Epcot and hail a cab from one of the resorts.

Though, I too am a car guy.
