We are looking to book SSR in July 2013 and staying about a week. We've booked the Grand Villa for shorter stays but it's a little rich for a whole week so I wondered if it was possible to book a two bedroom villa AND a studio for the same period of time. Has anyone every tried this? Did it work? Thanks in advance!

You can book as many villas as you want as long as you have the points available to book. You'll need to put someone else as the lead name in the second villa other than yourself. You can't be lead in both. You'll want to request that they be close, but that is still only a request.

Yes, it's possible to book as many rooms as you require and have the points for. The problem you can run in to is not getting rooms close to each other but at SSR it should be a little easier for them to find something close together.

We got a two bedroom for us and a studio for my in-laws in the past. We requested rooms nearby and they ended up in the same building but not next door. It worked out very well for us. We had breakfast in the morning in the two bedroom as a group and the in-laws had privacy when they wanted it. If Grandpa wanted to take a nap there were no Grandkids who had to be quieted while he slept.

It also was way cheaper than a Grand Villa.

Can you still ask for " travel with" request. It worked for us when we had multiple rooms. I was asked if I wanted that notation when I booked.

I would be pretty happy with a studio in the same building or even section. I think my parents will appreciate a little distance from the "kid's villa." Hopefully they won't have to take a bus to join us for breakfast. Although, if they're closer to Artist's Palette than we are we may have our food runners!

You can ask for Travel With and you ask that they be linked as long as both parties are willing.

I just did this today. My brother has reserved a studio and we a 1 bedroom at OKW. What is the likely hood we will actually get both units adjoining?

Adjoining or connecting?

Well connecting would be first choice. I am assuming all OKW studios have kitchenettes and are lock-offs? There aren't any dedicated 2 bedrooms are there?

OKW has many dedicated 2 bedrooms. All the 1 bedrooms and studios are lockoffs.

Actually all DVC resorts except BWV have dedicated two bedrooms.

Having two separate reservations, and using "Travel With" numbers, would they give us a 1 bedroom and a lock off studio? That is the preferred accommodations. We didn't request anything else accept to be near each other and the Turtle Pond area.

You might be close by, but not connecting.

Do you both still have your transfer for that use year? If so, you can transfer some points from one account to the other and book a 2BR lock off (which IIRC is a booking category, so you can guarantee it). This will cost fewer total points, but as a potential con there will only be "one account" for the room for charging purposes.

It's possible. Why didn't you book a 2 bedroom and save points? You could reserve some nights, he could reserve some nights and then link them.

Well my bro only had enough points for a studio, he owns there so booked at 11 mos. I don't own there, so switched at 7 mos and booked a 1 bedroom. Just didn't want to get into the whole "point thing" so we just left it at that and are trying to get close to each other. I would think because there are two separate reservations my bro will be assigned a lock-off? We will roll with whatever, just wanted to know what the odds were for certain accomodations.

At OKW all studios & 1 bedrooms are lockoffs. So if there are 2 next to each other, you could possibly get them and open the door. It really just depends on where the open rooms are when you check-in.

I would call directly to OKW 5 - 10 days out, and make your request. I have always found OKW CMs to be especially accommodating whenever possible, and I believe they have some flexibility in the week or so before check-in.
